That's a great idea! I'm down for sure, and I played bball growing up so I'm not terrible.
As expected, Suns re-sign Shannon Brown.
So, advertisements on jerseys will be a thing now. Is there any way to overthrow Stern? Is his contract almost up? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?
^ he said in an interview somewhere that he doesn't plan on being commissioner past 2017. but who knows how accurate that is. he already named who he wants to be replaced by, too.
edit: that being said, why the FUCK would you want ads on jerseys? sooo stupid. i hate david stern.
Because...money. A lot of it probably. This has been coming down the pipeline ever since WNBA started doing it a few years back.
What are they going to advertise, strip clubs and alcohol?
What's being proposed is a 2x2 patch on the shoulder. I just don't think it's THAT big of a deal. Look at soccer jerseys. For me, I would just hope to see the added revenue go towards bringing the cost of attending games down but that's probably too naive.

Imagining a Laker jersey with a Pepsi logo attached to it is making me cringe.

Yeah, that definitely isn't going to happen. The one thing I like about the Suns being awful is that I usually come across cheap/free tickets.
Lakers ink Jordan Hill to a two-year deal in hopes that he can help Kobe get over that...
via Adrian Wojnarowski"Hornets, Suns, Wolves are nearing agreement on a three-way deal that would send Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick to the Hornets. Minny would send Wesley Johnson and a 1st round pick to the Suns."
This would be a great move for the Suns to move Hakim's contract. Wes has sucked pretty royally thus far but comes with potential and an expiring contract at a needed position. Not sure what T-Wolves are getting out of this though.
EDIT: Apparently MIN would get the retiring Brad Miller (who they already traded to NOH this summer), Jerome Dyson and draft picks. Hmm.

That is amazing!
Yeah, I looked at it for five minutes and I was still finding shit that made me laugh. Pretty brilliant.
Subject: Olive Garden's Endless Pasta Bowl is back!
Sounds like the trade is a done deal. We didn't land a superstar (which I don't think anyone expected), but we did add some pieces and dumped Warrick's and Childress' contracts along the way. I like it.
Now you guys can move Frye to back up center on my depth chart, lol. I guess they'll plan on play Scola at 5 some, he's done that before, right?
HAHA... just saw LeBron's contacts...
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.
It's that tad bit of Crazy that keeps me Sane...
Hahaha that shit is too funny.
