Mogwai playing every other year is fine. Can't believe I was one of the sheep watching Madonna. What can I say. I got "Coachella'd".

Mogwai - "Gouge Away" (Pixies)
Hunting has been part of our society since the first Europeans came over and shot buffalo and Native Americans and whatnot.

Go rent Gremlins, you little whipper snapper.
According to Stereogum, it is.

Mogwai in 06 still gives me goosebumps.
Wow.
If they came back, I'd have no gripes. Fuck redundant bookings when the recipe succeeds.
there was a little overlap. I remember leaving mogwai a little bit before they finished to go see Massive Attack. I was a little early for MA though, so the actual overlap might have been negligible.
New album by the fall...
We have resumed rehearsing (meeting up and talking rubbish and occasionally playing music). We have the studio booked to finish recording (Castle Of Doom is currently homeless) and we are going to get the record mixed in Spring. If everything goes to plan the record (provisionally titled "The Hawk Is Howling") should be out early autumn. It will probably have a song on it called "The Precipice".

This sounds pretty nice...
I can't wait to hear Fear Satan in remastered glory. Guh!"Mogwai Young Team - 10 Year Anniversary Reissue
Although it may make most of us feel a bit long in the tooth to admit it, Mogwai's incendiary debut was released 10 years ago this year and to celebrate, we've been in discussions with the band about reissuing the album with remastered tweaks, bonus tracks, new sleevenotes and rejigged artwork. Stuart, John, Martin, Dominic and Barry are currently poring over live tracks and old sessions to augment the album's original 10 tracks and we'll be looking for a release at the very beginning of 2008."

More news on the remastered Young Team!
Their new album will be finished next month, mixed in March, as well! Should be a busy year. How about a Coachella performance of Young Team in its entirety to celebrate the anniversary and re-issue?mogwai young team - uber remastered version with bonus tracks!!
it's been ten years - believe it or not - but the impressive power of mogwai's debut album has not been diminished with age. we've been talking to the band and felt that it was time to remaster the album, augment the liner notes and include some extra tracks (eight to be precise) to create an anniversary version of young team that would manage to improve on the original while offering you guys value for money. the release is pencilled in for april depending on how the mastering sessions go but keep your eyes peeled for full tracklistings in due course....

How about Mogwai comes to Coachella and plays the following songs in this order:
Christmas Steps
Hunted By A Freak
Mogwai Fear Satan
Glasgow Mega-Snake
My Father, My King
It isn't necessary. When they pulled the Hunted to Satan to Mega-Snake combo in SF in 06, the rockness lasted till the end of the year. Realistically, just those songs would be okay.
I'd take those first three, but add in Superheroes of BMX and Tracy for good measure.

All that matters is Mogwai Fear Satan. Don't argue. I guess we could add 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong though.
Coachella 06 can't really be topped. I could see that show every day for a year and it would not get old. Still the best show I have ever seen.
Ending with We're No Here, followed by 15 minutes of noise would be sick.
