Just made the record that the Arcade Fire probably should have. Magic + "No Cars Go" = album of the year consideration. Saying.

Neon Bible is a much better album than Magic is. Magic is just too overproduced, but my favorite Springsteen album is probably Nebraska soooo.
The White Stripes 9/18
I can not bring myself to like the Boss - maybe that's why I'm not that fond of Keep the Car Running. Sounds like I'm On Fire sped up a bit.
The Glitter Freeze
Coachella 99-10 Vet, the run has ended in 2011
really?
I liked "Radio Nowhere" til someone pointed out to me it has the same tune as "867-5309".
The rest just seemed recycled. and that wouldn't necessarily be all that bad, but, it is like he's recycling his lightest pop fluff.
I admit I only listened to the album once ("Radio Nowhere" 3 times) and then put it aside. maybe later. but it's no "Rising" that's for sure.
also, welcome back mob.
jeezus Rolling Stone gave it 5 stars. they're worse fanboys than i thought.
for song similarities you might just want to listen to Tom petty's Mary Jane's Last Dance and then Red Hot Chili Peppers Dani California
Their exactly the same
Also, ironically,
Asobi Seksu's Strawberries sounds very similar to Presidents of the United State's Peaches,
although they are both amazing songs
because both of them are about fruits
Yes, I saw that it was coincidental. How is it ironic?
Anyway, so video up at http://www.brucespringsteen.net/news/index.html
OUTKAST
Wish List:
Röyksopp, FC Kahuna, Télépopmusik, RJD2, Futue Sound of London, The Avalanches, 808 State, Zero 7, Mr. Scruff, Moby (Live), Moloko,
COACHELLA 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
And Hoboken has got the most bars in one square black than any where in the world - so I've heard.
Fucking Rolling Stone and their bullshit ratings. They give Dylan and Springsteen five stars on their recycled albums made in their twilight years, but like fuck if they give anybody even remotely recent anything better than four stars, and even that's rare.
30 years ago it might've been different, but Springsteen can suck it, Arcade Fire own 2007.
hey hey hey there was nothing wrong with Modern Times damn good album.
The White Stripes 9/18
I was listening to E Street Radio on Sirius last night on the way home from work and they were playing the end of the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon show.It was remarkably romantic and thrilling. His stuff in the Seventies really was much more direct and alive than the Arcade Fire could ever hope to be.
They also played "Girls In Their Summer Clothes" off of Magic, and it sounded very derivative of The Who's "The Kids Are Alright".

by happenstance i was able to procure this album...
and i gotta say it's not bad.. and i'm def not any kind of Boss diehard....
it reminds me of his Born in the USA/Tunnel of Love era, but maybe with less hard hooks

A letter come blowin' in
On an ill wind
Somethin' 'bout me and you
Never seein' one another again
And what I knew had come
Stars struck deaf and dumb
Like when we kissed
That taste of blood on your tongue
Don't worry, darlin'
No baby, don't you fret
We're livin' in the future
And none of this has happened yet
Our family's friends the Carletons really liked the boss. I remember when We Are the World came out and me and my sister laughed so hard at his part because it sounded so bad and the daughter Carleton got really mad at us because we didn't get it because he sounded like that because he was trying so hard.
