^ I was there
Oh man They are going to start bottling Speedway Stout with Vietnamese coffee and if its easy Ill trade it out to you guys.
Got back from the big Belgium beer trip a couple days ago. Had a fantastic time, got to try a ton of great beers.
We went to the Westvleteren, St. Bernardus and De Struise breweries, and to Cantillon four different times. I think I drank more lambic in 10 days than I had in the past five years combined haha.
There were many, many highlights. One was going to In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst (translation: In the Insurance against Great Thirst), a really old bar in a tiny village. The bar shares a church parking lot and is only open during church hours - 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Sundays. It's a family-run operation and everyone was incredibly friendly. Oh, and they have an amazing cellar. We had some great beers, including an Eylenbosch gueuze from 1990:
I also managed to bring home a few treats in my suitcases:
At the brewery, 750 ml bottles range from around 6 euro for the classic gueuze to 8.50 euro for Lou Pepe Framboise to 15 euro for the 50N4E. Those are the takeaway prices. For on-site, bottles are 1-2 euros more. They had stuff for on-site that you couldn't take away, most notably Fou' Foune, which we had at least one bottle of each visit. I love that beer.
I grabbed 3 bottles of New Glarus 20th Anniversary Strong Belgian Dubble tonight. I should have bought more but I only had 30 bucks on me and the store was about to close.
I have a good amount of each Brewery in a cooler for the weekend
I am also excited to try these other breweries out too .I am just not familiar with those you have listed. Its been probably three or four years since i went to a very wide range midwest beer tasting WHICH WAS AMAZING.
I am too nervous to bring glass bottles with me so I am bring these in a can.
Ballast Point Sculpin ( I like this IPA a lot and maybe more than Pliny the Elder)
Ballast Point Big Eye IPA
You have to take a few of the bottles I am bringing back on the plane. Keep the Surly Darkness. I'll bring ya a NG 20th that I picked up tonight too. I can have someone save me some when I get back.
Bubble wrap in between clothes. I'll bring ya something for the way back. Shipping pkg.

The lineup, from left to right:
Dark Truth Stout (Boulevard Brewing, Missouri)
Gavroche Red Ale (Brasserie De St. Sylvestre, France)
Imperial India IPA (Green Flash, San Diego)
Oude Geuze Vielle (Brouwerjie Oud Beersel, Belgium)
Citra Single Hop Imperial IPA (Flying Dog, Maryland)
Over the past three months, my poison has been Budweiser Cheladas -- so what, I am deprived, fuck you guys.
Last Saturday was amazeballs. I had Jolly Pumpkin's Fuego Del Otoņo and Oskar Blues Gubna. They were both phenomenal in their own right. Not to mention my buddy welcomed me home with a bottle of Stone Vertical Epic 2005 and 2003. I drank the 05 but kept the 03 since its a rare beer.
FYF Fest 8/27 - 8/28
We had an extremely successful bottle sharing party on Saturday! Here's most of what was had. We still have about 7 good bottles and a couple cases worth of miscellaneous 12 oz beers sitting in our kitchen.
^ this makes me thirsty.

Ugh sorry i thought it was choklat but its jahva and mokah that arent being made any more.
I guess I'd rather see those go than Choklat. I think I have a couple bottles of each in my cage.
I wonder what new beers they're going to add to the series in replacement...
So weird, but so good.
Just found out that the wedding I thought was going to prevent me from attending my local beer fest is actually three weeks later. Then, I decided I was going to be responsible and save my money, only to get a message from a friend who works at Drakes asking if I wanted to help work their booth for a bit in exchange for a free ticket.
Y'all should come to Bluesapalooza. Just look at this list of breweries.
