I am really excited to this jester king/mikkeller espeically since i missed out of on the BB kupai lowak speedway stout. Also the freakmetal looks damn funky.
love this brewery. I was fortunate enough to taste the Whiskey Barrel Rodeo in cask at the brewery and I can't stop thinking about it. The other mikkeller collaboration, Weasel rodeo, was just as good. I liked both a little warmer than room temp so that the heat from the peppers shows a bit more. They just released El Cedro, a farmhouse ale aged on cedar and bottle conditioned with brett, and I plan on making it to the brewery on saturday for a special cask tasting. I have my work cut out for me though, they are only open Saturdays from 1-4 and they get packed.

Tony's Darts is the bar to visit in that area. They have been occasionally running a bus between Tony's, Golden Road and Mohawk Bend: if you add those places on Facebook you can find out when, and then you don't have to drive to them so you can more fully enjoy the bars. You have decent enough access to Boyle Heights: Ramirez Liquor is one of, if not the, best bottle shops in the LA area. You can find beers there that rarely if ever make it into California. Some other places have told me they sell some of the beers they have illegally: who cares?
Going to try and hit up Tony's Darts soon. I looked them up on FB and they're having like a beer special thing on tuesday so i might just stop by. Thanks for the info man!
I went to our local homebrew club's spring festival this afternoon. It was completely crazy in an awesome way. I tried so many crazy homebrews, tops were the Russian Imperial Stout collaboration with 14 club members aged in oak barrells and dry hopped with an absurd amount of Citra, a hibiscus wheat, and the Surly Furius clone. The fest was centered on Kölsch so there was just an absurd amount of Kölsch being poured out of corny kegs. I am going to be hurting tomorrow.
