I just left work with Sierra Nevadas Beer Camp 12er. It looks incredible. 3 Floyds, Russian River, Bell's, Cigar City.... all of which contributed to some amazing sounding beers.
I'm going to the SD version, should be fun!
At 11.25% and being a IPA , this sounds like a super sweet beer. As well I'm not huge fan of Knee deep brewery.
In October, Hanger 24 is releasing a Bourbon Barrell aged Imperial Pumpkin Porter . Which I'm ecstatic about and hope to be able get a few bottles of.
It's not sweet at all. It's fruity/flowery, but not sweet.
Hoptologist and the one or two others beers I've had from Knee Deep have that malty taste that drives me up the wall.
I finally had Alpine's Nelson IPA at Mohawk bend tonight. It was way sweeter than I was expected it to be, but it did settle down and had a fairly bitter, hop-forward flavor by the middle of the glass. I definitely would not rate it as highly as others do, but I would drink it again.

I was at the Triple 7 brewery in Las Vegas last week and they have a new brewmaster who's apparently still learning his way. His batch of their Belgian quad was supposed to be like 11% but didn't ferment out. So they called it a dubbel. It's about 7% and suuuuuper sweet. Not good.
Along with our 12 collaboration brewers, we've invited every craft brewer from these states to serve their beers ...
I'm guessing that means the 12 collaboration brewers will be there.
I hope the events go well. I'm going on Sunday. It's surprising how many beer fests are still run poorly these days.
Good point, gazer! The official attendee guide is really informative and even encourages attendees to bring water bottles as there will be various water filling stations, so I feel as though it is going to be a well organized event.
Got my 12 pack and they threw in a beer camp west coast IPA 22 invite also.
Sorry 24 oz
There's a 12-pack version? I got a 24-pack at Costco and it has two of each beer. I'm hoping a friend will split it with me. One of each is enough for me.
OK now I'm confused because I thought I saw a 12 version at Healthy spirits for $27 then later someone did said they bought a 24 pack version for $37
I got the 12 pack version at whole foods.
So a liquor store I occasionally visit posted some photos of beers and in them was Vertical Epic 12-12-12. Do you guys think that would be a beer that ages well or not? I'm tempted to get it but at the same time the thought of how long those bottles have been sitting there for kind of freaks me out.
