Yup. I've been going to it since 1998, and drinking at it since I was 19. It's always a great time.
I already asked Zach, but figured I would asks here too. What order would you put these in if you were having a stout tasting
Stone Belgo Anise IRS, Weybacher Tiny, Great Divide Belgian Style Yeti, Black Market Black Hole Sun, Surly Darkness, Deschutes The Abyss.
I would put the best ones first so you can enjoy them while your palate is still fresh and the worst ones last so you'll be buzzed enough you won't care as much about them being bad. so start with the Abyss and finish with the Belgo Anise IRS.

So Friday is my birthday so it's going to be one of the few days I allow my self to actually enjoy a few beers. What are some good celebration type beers? And by celebration beers I mean the type of Beer I can drink 2-3 of and get a good buzz going on but still not have to feel like shit for breaking my diet?
So I went to Total Wine today and Stone RuinTen was available. Got the very first one to as they just finished unpacking them from the cases. Interesting enough though that the Stone website says it is released tomorrow. Now that I am back on the wagon and drinking on a regular basis I am probably going to pick up a few of these while they are out.
Weird that the Stone site said that, i saw RuinTen on shelves last over the weekend.
shit has been out for awhile
This batch of Ruinten was released June 17. Apparently someone mixed that up with July 17.
Meanwhile, Mrs Gazercmh and I are heading to Vegas this weekend and since it's hard to find good beer there without paying an arm and a leg, I'm bringing some treats -- growlers of Duet and Nelson, a bottle of Fou' Foune and more.
I'm going next weekend!
FYI Holsteins at the Cosmo has an extensive craft draft list if you're looking for a burger and some brews
Thanks for the tip. Mrs Gazercmh wants to go to the Cosmo, so this makes it an easier sell for me
That Aces n Ales looks cool Zack, but as its not really near the strip i doubt i ever go
Good times, but the bill was pretty expensive.
Good advice with the Holstein's recommendation. Their burgers and beers are fantastic.
Picked up one of the Deschutes Black Butte XXV today, and am looking forward to popping it at my buddy's birthday tonight
The new Aces & Ales is next to Tenaya Brewing, so we might pop over and hit those two. I've heard that Aces & Ales does half-price growler fills on Sunday, and it being Nevada they'll fill any growler you got, so I might stop there on the way out of town for a fill if they have something good on tap.
Duet was bottled/released nine days ago. Nelson two days ago. Opened bottles of each tonight. Both are outstanding.
I like Alpine Brewery Company. The driving to alpine and the ambiance of the brewery is great, middle of no where in this cabin drinking great beer.I
So LA beer week is Sept 19-29th. Last Years closing ceremony event was such a great beer festival experience..The Beer festival is at Union Station so this encourages a lot of the attendenees to not drink and drive. There was Unlimited pours,ALOT of local breweries(KERN RIVER BREWERY WAS THERE),there was an iron chief like theme where there was a certain ingrediant that a few breweries agreed to use and make their verison of LA BEER WEEK beer for that year,Tons of lectures and class through out the day. Also they got Sam from Stuffed Sandwiches to make it out .Also the last day of LA Beer Week is the same day as Man Man. .
I'm in Austin. Someone give me a couple of beers I should try out here. I'm a hop head if that helps. Like sours and saisons as well.
FYF Fest 8/27 - 8/28
Tried Real Ale Lost Gold IPA and Stash IPA by Independence Brewing. Not a big fan of either.
