You know what, I think even Arcade Fire might agree at this stage.
Looking at Will Butler FTW.
I realy don't like Raidiohead.
obviously arcade fire..radiohead have been around since the 90's and have made the best albums of the decade...they haven't made one bad album..they live up to the hype...radiohead keep coming back with a new album and another reason they are one of the greatest bands of the decade....everyone is all hung up on the whole indie thing...MY VOTE IS RADIOHEAD....even though thom yorke looks kinda like a hobo
P.S. TEAM WAYNE COYNE....

Yeah. A few times.
they're not that good, if they were they would be considered a household name
people like them because they're weird and odd
Arcade Fire actually make good music, and can play their instruments properly
in all honest, it's 2011 and i can't believe people are still listening to Radiohead

Easily some of the dumbest opinions about music I've read on this thread. Oh well, it once again proves there's no accounting for taste...
David Lindley @ the Coach House 1/17
Lucinda Williams @ the Regent Theater 2/28
Sleater-Kinney @ the Hollywood Palladium 5/1
Courtney Barnett @ the Roxy 5/30
Well LunaVC is one of the biggest idiots on this board, so what did you expect?
Shpongle, 3/13, Rialto Theater (Tucson, AZ)
Of Montreal, 3/21, Rialto Theater (Tucson, AZ)
Phox, 4/8, Club Congress (Tucson, AZ)
Coachella, Weekend 1, April 10-12, (Indio, CA)
I tried for so long to hate both Radiohead and Arcade Fire, just based upon the fact that I am weary of any band or artist that receives massively annoying amounts of media attention. Even with this wall of snobbery I have built around myself, I have grown to love both of these bands (although initially against my own will)
Radiohead is musically more sophisticated and genre sculpting. FTW!
And yeah, "genre-sculpting" was pretty lame. I knew in hindsight that someone would poo-poo me. I think I'll go back to my safe and beloved method of hard-core lurking. Cheers.
This thread makes me sad. It's just perpetuating the irrational hate for both of these amazing bands.

is your name taken from the X song?
Indeed it is.
Then we can be friends forever.
It's settled then.
did you see them at Coachella a few years ago?
No, due to incredibly unreliable friends, I missed out on '09. I did see them a few months ago at the Belly Up in San Diego, which was indescribable. Exine is enduringly bad ass and the whole performance was so superb, I was almost on the verge of tears a few times. Utterly legendary musicians in the truest sense.
6.5 years and this is still getting votes? Impressive.
