Best Cell Phone for Concerts

Hi all,

Anyone have a great phone that takes great pics and videos (10 mins or more) that I could use when i go to concerts, so i can compete with all the youtubers out there capturing great songs out there.

The Samsung A990 says it captures up to 1 hr of video and is a 3.2 megapixel camera.

How's that chocolate phone?

Anyway..just wondering.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, best question ever. Why the hell would you bother with a phone? Thats a waste, get a nice camera and you are good. You ever see me post camera phone pictures or camera phone video? Umm, no. My reccomendation is the Sony DSCT10, or T30. They both take good photos(I like my canon better) but the video AND sound quality is great on it.

Anyone used the Sony DSC N2? Am i missing the boat on concerts..for some reason i thought they were very strict on no cameras at concerts (a like the filmore or the warfield)...Am I way off?

Yep you are, is the N2 the touch screen one? I forget. If it is, dont bother with it.



Edit: yes it is, dont bother, I know all the menus by heart and trying with the touch screen got tricky. And its the Sony T100 thats the newest one and is really a solid buy.

if i get the sony t100, and the 2gb memory stick...how much video would i be able to take?

Its 8 megapixels, mine is 7 and I get 90 minutes with standard quality. So maybe a little lower than that? If you really wanted lots of room get the 4gb card if you are willing to drop the cash. And a spare battery, you will thank me later.

Ummm, I have brought in my camera no problem to the Warfield each time I have gone. I have not been to the Fillmore yet, but from what friends have told me, it does vary. Luckily my first experience will be with the Smashing Pumpkins who are encouraging audio,photo and video at all their shows during the residencies. And hwo listens to the rules anyway? Artists can dictate what the policy is anyway. Example, The Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas states a no camera policy and its strictly enforced. Morrissey was there 2 weeks ago, and before doors opened they announced cameras were allowed. See? yea, I saw NOFX at HOB in anaheim, and as soon as the gaurd at the barrier saw my camera, he tripped and told me to put it away, and he looked like he wasnt messin around.

and super, why dont you share your technique? im always looking for new ones. sometimes (like coachella) i have so much shit im trying to sneak in that i run out of hiding spots. i enlisted my girl this last one to put the pipe up her pussy. haha, jk, but she did put it in her panties.

Well it was a genius typo though. And nope, cant reveal my camera sneak, it took me a show or 2 to think of it and it has never failed me and probably never will. Theres lots of ways to get things in at Coachella. You just have to think more outside the box. Dont think on ones person per say, hows that?
