AJ, or anyone really, are you going to this?

To celebrate seven years as one of best weekly hip-hop nights in the Valley, the Blunt Club has booked a headliner worthy of such an anniversary bash: [Gift of Gab http://www.myspace.com/

theofficialgiftofgab], one-half of Blackalicious and a member of the Def Jux-backed Mighty Underdogs, is the featured guest next Thursday’s throwdown. If you’re skeptical about why the man calls himself the Gift of Gab, take heed. My guess is, we’re in for some ridic freestyles next week. Also appearances by GRIME, NO APOLOGIES (Brad B, Emerg, & Foundation) 2on2 BBoy Battle hosted by Dj Element. A Sticker Show "Sticker Phiends 2" Featuring Sticker art from hundreds of artist's worldwide.. Dubstep X Hip Hop set by Xian 1.. Dj';s Pickster & Element. Art by (Inkaholics|AlphaMonsters) Dumperfoo , Stacks Malone, & Griffin One.... And This show is 18+ (a rare experience) full bar for 21+
i don't know the artist, but i'm thinking of going since it's a blunt club anniversary & it's down the street.

    Grime opens for everything.

I dont think that Gift of Gab is such a big deal I mean I have seen lots of shows at the Blunt Club and this one does not stand out to me as a huge act.

I might be attending, this is tomorrow?

What a terrible choice. I hope this band fails hard soon. It's the least they can do for the migrane inducing set they provided me at Sasquatch.

My roommate Cesar works with you Ivy. He said he saw you in the break room for a second but didn't say anything fast enough. Small world or a big company I guess.

ha ha ha, THE JIG IS UP!!! i'll try to be nicer to people in the breakroom then he probably works for the company who does our processing. i work for a different company that oversees their work out of this building. there's only a few of us that work for the parent company here, most everyone works for the servicing company.

Yeah, he does the processing. He's only been there about 2 months I think. He found a job quick which was nice.

We could change it to The Fenix TX thread...then there's no chance anyone would stumble in on accident.

Actually, AC is a very good band, just because you don't like them or supposedly got a migrane from watching them at sasquatch doesnt mean they should fail. Thev've been around a long time and have done just fine with fans and critics. I'm looking foward to their show in tucson. If they weren't playing on sunday I would have gone to the St. Vincent show.
    There it is...

there is no need to change the thread title just because some illiterate drooltard stumbles in here by mistake on occasion.

It's all opinion my friend. I wasn't talking about the likliehood of them failing or if they deserve to fail. I simply said they gave me a migrane and I wanted them to fail. That's all. No super analytical stuff on my part. I understand they have mass appeal amongst this music community.

Just so we are clear, I don't want them to fail because I don't like them. I want them to fail because they gave me a headache at a music festival.

you are on MDT. this is because you are in New Mexico.
Phoenix is on MST, because most parts of Arizona do not observe Daylight Savings Time. The exception is the Navajo reservation, which is also in New Mexico and they want to (understandably) keep everybody on the same time. Interestingly, though, the Hopi Nation, which is fully contained within (i.e., entirely surrounded by) the Navajo Nation, does not observe DST. So the Navajos are like this donut-shaped exception in the northeastern corner of the state. Except that Arizona is itself the exception to the national rule, so really, the Navajo donut is the exception to the exception, and the Hopi nation is the exception within the exception to the exception.

I enjoy your explanation and accept that it's the correct one. But we all know what Dylan was really asking. Unless he was genuinely curious about MST vs MDT.

It's my first AC show and I'm hoping to have my face migrained. And what's this about members of the band doing a dj set at the afterparty?

Too bad it hasn't sold out yet. I have two extra tickets I may need to unload if my buddy's baby mama puts him on lockdown.
