    Default Shaking The Habitual

The Knife announce new album Shaking The Habitual, to be released in April 2013. The Knife will be playing some live shows in Europe in 2013.

The fact that they are very specific about where they will be playing is concerning.

I was going back to Europe, anyway. This will decide where I visit. Two solo gigs or one and a festival would be ideal, preferably in a previously unexplored country.

I think they'll be playing headlining shows instead of festivals. Maybe at Royal Albert Hall if they're playing in UK? I'm not aware of any April festivals in Europe. Usually they start in May over there...

Don't get me wrong, I like them a lot. But they're not the second coming that people make them out to be.

Admit it: the elusiveness of The Knife is what you all are on about more than the music itself.

I like The Knife a lot and I'm sure part of wanting to see them so bad is that they never play and I have yet to see them, but I don't think that is all of it. I mean I don't go crazy for Jandek, but I did contemplate seeing him while in town just because I had the opportunity.

Album out in April. Dates in 2013. Dates not necessarily in April. Also, there is always a music festival on somewhere in Europe.

    Why Royal Albert Hall?

What Zack said. I'm not a HUGE fan of the music (I like it) but they are top 5 shows of all time for me. It's tough to believe since so few people saw them, but that show is just out of this world spectacular. The visuals, the performance, the oddness of it all. There's no way to make too big a deal about that live show.
