  1. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

In 2008 Love & Rockets were the subheadlinxer but closed the Outdoor, while My Morning Jacket played before Roger Waters. That's the only other time I can think of though.
  2. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

Just my experience, but I saw Brian Wilson on the Pet Sounds tour about a year and a half ago and I was pretty underwhelmed. Matt Jardine, Al's son, sounded absolutely amazing though.
  3. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

Would love the Libertines, but if they were allowed into the US, wouldn't they have toured by now? They've made it down to Mexico a few times. Don't think Pete's visa issues are settled.

Re: Desert Daze 2017 (Oct. 12-15)

One act nobody should sleep on is Frankie & The Witch Fingers. I've seen them several times and they are an absolute powerhouse live. Very fast-paced, hard-charging, adrenaline-fueled psych sound...

Actually, Father John Misty is playing two nights at that SD venue. One show is sold out, the other is almost sold out. But we're splitting hairs here.

Damn, was really looking forward to closing out Sunday night with Princess Nokia. Now she conflicts with Mitski and Thundercat. This change was completely unnecessary.

John Cale, that is pretty rad. I'm definitely gonna try to swing this, at least for one day.
Also I'm good buddies with the guys in Triptides and Frankie & The Witch Fingers. Very happy for them!...

    Re: Birthdays at Coachella

The year I turned 21 the guy at the general store gave me a free can of Coors light. The mountains were still kinda blue. At the time it felt pretty damn special to me.
    No but seriously though....

I was front and center for the marathon of Kraftwerk > Portishead > Prince. To this day, it is the best concert-going night of my life. My buddy found a bag of joints on the ground and we smoked them...
