    Re: Austin City Limits 2018

Didn't C3 book Eminem for Lolla twice in a 3-year span, though? I've learned to never underestimate their laziness.
  2. Re: Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival 2018

I can't see hints being dropped this far out, especially with a photo of the band they're referring to. I'd love to see Arctic Monkeys back, but I really feel it's just a case of tweeting past...

Re: Arroyo Seco Weekend - Pasadena

Belle and Sebastian look like a lock - SD on 6/22 and Oakland 6/25, dates between free and no LA date.

Thought about going last year and ultimately didn't, but B&S are a good start for me.
  4. Rate the 2018 Artists You've Seen Before as Live Acts

Surprised this thread hadn't popped up yet, but it seems like there's fewer acts this year that people have seen before, myself included. Though I'm probably taking this year off, may as well share...

    Re: BottleRock 2018

How in the world did this sell out in one hour?

Like, I get that it's a smaller capacity than the big-name festivals, but people really do want to see the same washed-up names that appear...

Poll: Re: 2018 Lineup: Worst Day

Prior to this year, I considered Sunday 2016 to be the worst day in the festival's history, but Sunday 2018 makes it look godly.

Eh, I'd still argue a larger fan overlap than Bon Iver, who...

    Probably just Mac DeMarco again.
  8. Re: 2018 Lineup: 5 Smart, 5 Dumb, 5 Missed

    Smart:
David Byrne - The standout booking on the poster. Even in a stronger year, would be a must-see.
A Perfect Circle - Not even a MJK fan, but I know how vast and loyal their fanbase is, and...
  9. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

I feel like Slowdive's been on every fake poster the last 4 years. Should have been a no-brainer last year with the new album, but since they're not here this year either, I'm starting to doubt they...

    Re: LINEUP IS OUT

Makes more sense than Bon Iver last year.

But uh...I'm not even 30 yet, and this lineup makes me realize I'm now too old.

Re: Most Disappointing Albums of 2017

Given the 7 years between albums (The Fall doesn't count), Humanz was definitely this year's most disappointing album for me. "She's My Collar" and "Andromeda" are great, and "Busted and Blue" won me...
  12. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

I always found TNAF to be the most tolerable of the 2010 KROQ class of Young the Giant/Foster the People/Etc. But I also don't think I've listened to them since.

    "Leave a Trace" was everywhere...
  13. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

I'm starting to think Klein is actually in Foster the People.
  14. Re: Top albums of 2017 (picked by labels, blogs, magazines, artists, and etc)

While there weren't any specific standout songs from it for me, Pleasure as a whole is a really damn solid album that I'd listen to over half these other albums.

    Melodrama isn't my favorite album...
  15. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

Eh, I think 2016 holds the crown for "Worst Art", but it's been disappointing the last couple years to see only 4 major art installations, none of which captivate people like the snail or the hippos.
  16. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

With QOTSA at the Forum in February, the word "good" is probably subjective here.
  17. Re: MissingPerson's Official Lovely Non-Threatening Arcade Fire Joy Parade.

Well, don't I look stupid now?

Fun time anyway last night, even with a nearly identical set. Angel Olsen's been great too. And maybe I just got lucky, but that was the fastest I've ever gotten out...

Re: KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas 2016

Acts like Young the Giant, Foster the People, AWOL, etc. who had one hit back in 2010 are already nostalgia acts for the age 20-25 demographic. They continue to draw massive crowds at festivals,...
  19. Re: MissingPerson's Official Lovely Non-Threatening Arcade Fire Joy Parade.

Didn't realize it's not played much anymore at the time, but yeah, I think the last time I heard "We Used to Wait" was the Suburbs tour.

This is probably the most energetic I've ever seen the...
  20. Re: MissingPerson's Official Lovely Non-Threatening Arcade Fire Joy Parade.

Ha, I also drove down for that National show (and basically making the same trek for AF tonight). That setlist was awesome.

Re: Coachella 2018 Fake Posters Thread

    Re: Kaaboo Fest

No, I paid $5 for a water bottle. If they were priced differently throughout the festival, then that's moronic (and even $4 is double what it should be).

Re: Tell Us About 2017 Releases

  27. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread

    Re: Beach Goth 4 - Oct. 24th & 25th

  38. Re: The REAL Coachella 2018 Rumors/Confirmations Thread
