Met Zac from Alabama Shakes in the crowd after their show. Super cool and appreciative guy.
My GF and I entered on Friday to get merch then left to drop it all off at the campsite. We both scanned out like normal, but when we want to re-enter her wristband wasn't scanning green. This caused...
Great seeing & meeting everyone! Same time next year!

See everyone tomorrow!
Check your PMs.
Sorry, we require that everyone have a camping pass so we have enough room for everyone.
I was thinking about this as well. Seems like it's do-able, but I'm not a structural engineer ;) I'd worry about winds lifting the whole thing up.
Good timing, just sent a PM. Yeah, 10x10 straight-leg pop-up type.
Looks like we don't have enough canopies to fill the number of spots we have, so shade priority will go to those people that brought canopies. I'm willing to buy up to one extra canopy from someone...
Hey everyone, here's the final list. You'll be receiving a PM shortly with the important meetup information!
Weekend #: 0x01
Car / Guest
They use lot 5 for vendor/staff camping now.
Hi 360boii, I'd recommend creating a new thread for this, as our group will be meeting early on Thursday and arriving to the fest together.
Hi brunkftw, this group requires that everyone have a camping pass. We just don't have the extra space to adopt extra people.
Let's talk later; I've got take a detour to pick up aphrael from his hotel at some point.
No worries, more is fine as long as everyone has a camping pass or is a guest of those with one! :)
I'm pretty sure we'll have plenty of space. I think we could fully see out the back window last year. There will be space for your gear.
I think we'll be able to fit them. It would be good to have extras.
Not sure if we'll need it, but you might as well pick it up if you'll be borrowing chairs from her too.
Correction: needs 70 watts, but sounds like FFF's system should be able to handle it :)
Awesome - yep, 110VAC. Each bulb has its own cord running into a power strip.
a) Very. I would only bring these out for the Thursday night if conditions are good - too many things going on elsewhere other nights to make it worth it.
b) Was thinking either FelonyFruitFlinger...
So I've been debating bringing my LIFX bulbs to the campgrounds... For those who don't know, I'm an app developer and I have an app that creates light shows in sync with music...

No worries, we'll work with what you have. Some shade is better than no shade! The tarps will be a big help (I'll also be bringing one).
I'm bringing the 3 chairs that I have. Not sure if that counts as "extra" though, as I'd expect movingmntns and aphrael will want to sit at times...
Hi noipmahca, this is a thread for a Weekend 1 camping group. I think your question would be better asked in the Questions subforum, but I suspect you'll get the same "official" answer (that you need...
Awesome, that brings us to minimum 7 canopies for 11 spots.
electromg, we'll work with what you got. I'll be bringing a straight-dick canopy, but it's limp/broken so it will probably only last the weekend. How many canopies do we have total? I can help...
Feel free to start a discussion here. We typically all bring our own gear where applicable (tents, air beds, sleeping bags, coolers, chairs, etc.) Definitely bring a canopy (and extra if you have...
Hi mollywood, sorry this group is Weekend 1 only and requires a car camping pass.
Hi pmurda, a Weekend 1 car camping pass is required to join this group. Do you have one?
In the past it we've typically aimed for 10, but with that we end up getting there at 1. Here's what I propose:
-Meet at the usual spot between 8am and 9am.
-We'll pick up last-minute supplies once...
Weekend #: 0x01
No worries, there's always room for more :)
Pretty good list, I forgot about Gesaffelstein.
I've been lagging too. A quick look at the lineup points to Yelle, Father John Misty, and a host of electronic stuff. Probably more excited about the food lineup, TBH: Cool Haus, Grilled Cheese...
Damn, 16 days. Who's everyone looking forward to?
Ha! Sounds like Joy!
Hi daragon1987, you're welcome to join our group! I'll send the meetup info and a request for phone numbers in early April.
Hi jimmyjjohn, I think you've replied to an old post - our Temuculan hasn't joined us since 2011. You're welcome to join our group, but we require that everyone have a car camping pass. Do you have...
I don't have Joy's info, so not sure. Manolo missed out on the presale and didn't try for tix during the regular sale.
Hi Cramos, a camping pass is required to join the group. I saw that you've posted looking for one, so if you can obtain one then you're welcome to join. Let us know!
Out of town, but not disconnected ;)
I spoke with Jeff earlier - he won't be able to make it until 9:30ish, so we'll probably make the meetup time around then and plan to leave from the meeting...
Do you have a car camping pass? We require it so that we have enough space for everyone. Unfortunately we just don't have the space to take on campers without a pass.
Just being realistic here... has there ever been a time where it hasn't taken us 2-3 hours to group up? :P
What are everyone's thoughts on arrival time to the fields? Any conflicts with getting there early? Someone on reddit said that getting there about 20min before open is ideal.
We could always use more canopies. Storing it for you wouldn't be an issue, but fitting/transporting a second one to Coachella could be difficult.
