Did anyone mention Kamasi Washington's opening for Snarky Puppy at the Warfield in September? I missed that.

    Re: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2015

Yeah, I get that. But he's also played every year since 2010, and they do have that gap in their schedule, so it's not unreasonable to think he'll play in some capacity. I only mention Desaparecidos...

Really hoping Conor brings Desaparecidos this year. They've got a gap at the beginning of October, playing GAMH in November; would that disqualify them?

Kit Harrington's saying in interviews that he's definitively dead, but I call bullshit. They didn't drop Sam's "Jon always comes back" line in there for nothing.

That's the case with most festivals, though. A lot of these acts were at Coachella this year. Still pumped for it.

A lot more crossover with Coachella than last year's lineup, but damn if it isn't my favorite parts of Coachella's lineup. Plus Robyn, Hudson Mohawke, Shamir, Mikal Cronin, Viet Cong? I'm in.

Man, Sufjan was great at the fox tonight. I can't believe they cut him off before Chicago.

I'm almost positive those AHJ dates simply refer to The Strokes' appearances at those festivals. Only SF would be a solo show in the same city as a fest, if the Strokes play TI.

  38. Re: Coachella pro tip: weekend two is always better. Less hype. Better sets

Yes - killer dust storm that night, left an inch of dust all over the backyard of the house we rented. It was awful.
  39. Re: Coachella pro tip: weekend two is always better. Less hype. Better sets

No, there was no dust storm. Just a constant light breeze that meant a bit of dust in the air. This year, W1 at least, was delightful.

  44. Re: Coachella pro tip: weekend two is always better. Less hype. Better sets

If you'd gone Weekend 2 that year when it was 107 degrees each day, you'd get the cooler temp hype. Upper-80's/low-90's is perfect.
