Mumford & Sons
Haven't had it off the stereo all day - brilliant stuff. Shaker Obsession is a song that will be unreal live.
If stuck..... grab this bargain ;)
Anyone who says they wouldn't watch the original GNR line up is a fucking idiot and only lying to themselves.
Love Bon Iver and would be happy with that but struggle to see him as a headliner...
I regret not making the effort to go check them out - the video for Mens Needs looked like the crowd were having a blast
I saw a lot of love for Kasabian & Run The Jewels
and that's just for GA passes
Surely we should all shut up and wait until MotorAve comes back to keep us right?
And even those are guest passes - not full access
Would you not swap Vampire Weekend for Mumford & Sons who seem more likely at this point to take a headline slot for next year?
Suicidal Tendencies - I'm in!
Those pesky parents taking their kids to things. Madness I tell thee.
I would guess so? Not sure he tours with a live set up. Anytime I see him on posters its usually a DJ set
Its the post Coachella blues!
Iron Maiden are legends in metal circles and have a HUGE following, but aren't in the same realm as an AC/DC, who have songs that are part of the mainstream.
No chance they would headline and I...
We are with you on the depression!
Great to hear you had such a good time
Surely this is going to happen?
And given the weird fascination some people have with Special Guests - this is a set that would be bound to deliver?
I gave two options to cover my bases !
I stand behind both but agree more likely they won't be back
Could see but Tool headlining the outdoor, but the main?
Or at a stretch the same slot Jack White occupied with someone on after them
Agree - not sure people realise / appreciate what a double header that was....
Cant speak for Jack White but that area was packed out for AC/DC & Drake (even Bieber couldn't get in :))
Compared to the burgers offered at UK festivals, their burgers were awesome. Maybe I've got my benchmark on what makes a good burger wrong ?!
No issue at all from what I saw.......
The Church Key burger does deserve a shout out to be fair
He was just loitering with intent all weekend then lol
He passed us on a cart and it was our driver who said he had a lounge this year...but yeah life's too short to be debating this one....
Hi the viewing areas at the front of the stage are for Artists / Guests & production staff only - you do not get access to these with a VIP wristband.
The VIP areas are getting worse as each year...
He was a paying guest - he had a lounge tent in Safari.
Mumford & Sons / Oasis / Kanye West
What was the turnout like? Could you walk right up to the rail like weekend one? I'm hoping they drew a slightly bigger crowd?
Great to hear
Totally agree on that washroom - the only negative I had the whole weekend and such a simple thing for them to be on top of - it was a surprise the state they let that one get into...
Not sure Kanye turning up for a couple of tracks counts....
Were you at yesterdays show or WK1?
Buddha - Ignoring the no artist pass / side stage thing, as a matter of interest how did you find the whole experience this year (my first) vs previous years?
its a slow day on the board I guess....
I'm not aware of any waiting list Bud. We booked ours last summer as we couldn't wait for the line up due to travelling from Europe and flight prices going up / time off work arranged etc. I think...
Yeah that domestic violence case was mentioned on Reddit - apparently some guy smacking his girlfriend in the tent and other campers went to help and he ran off - they caught him hiding somewhere...
Yeah it would be tough but if you can then go for it at least once!
VIP is a complete fucking mess and the crowd in it on weekend one made Drakes set even MORE unbearable.
Just back home after weekend one (depressed) and thought I would share my experience of the safari tent for those who may be thinking about it going forward....
Honestly, it was worth stumping up...
I said hi to him and he was really nice. I was gonna go with the Yo Bitch thing - how did he react to it?
He who speaks the truth!
Honestly - this was an outstanding show - make the effort to go - it was one of the highlights of the weekend for me.
Agree with MusicismyBoyfriend in that the 1145 start time was a joke and they...
Until the Ribbon Breaks
Run the Jewels
Just a point on Until the Ribbon Breaks - surprised no-one else has mentioned them - their 1145 set time was a joke...
We have booked one this year as well and can't wait! (bucket list) there's a couple of good threads on them worth searching for on the board.
Hard to say on the number of guest passes out there...
Now come on - it was at least 20... as I say, I enjoyed it for what it was........
Platinum Estates is $40K which if you get 8 like minded people is better value than safari (considering you get a safari tent in this on top of the off site accommodation)
I should stress that I...
Well - did anyone bite?
I'm down with this everyday of the week but you are living in dreamland if you think that will ever happen
Still can't believe GV didn't book them
dates right after Coachella
