I have Comcast and have AXS TV.
I went in to this set (W2) thinking I'd be a bit bored. Oh how wrong I was. Amazing musicianship, just perfection. Solid groove going the entire set. Bummed I had to miss Caribou for it, but it...
Saw Kaytranada during W2 mostly based on reading this post and the few others in this thread. You weren't kidding! So glad I didn't waste a second at Kygo or anything else. Some guy in the crowd...
1a. St. Vincent
Expected these two to be at the top and they didn't disappoint. They're on another level.
3. The War On Drugs: Perfect sunset time slot - just magical. Eyes to the...
Gramatik is surprising me... I'm really liking this. Too bad it's in direct conflict with Bad Religion.
It would've been a lot better if AC/DC's 7-foot high amp stacks weren't covering the bottom of their video screen. Hard to see them when their backdrop is totally black. Their normal show is pretty...
Good point. Charles just seems like the perfect change of pace afternoon Coachella set.
Agreed... CB vs. Sylvan Esso for W2 hurts. Not sure what I'm going to do about that.
Main - 9
Outdoor - 12
Gobi - 8
Mojave - 12
Sahara - 1
Yuma - 0 to 3
Only counting sets I expect to be at ~20 minutes or longer. Yuma is kind of just a time-filler.
Sunday in general is easily the worst day I've ever seen at Coachella. If St. Vincent wasn't playing...good god, I would fully projectile vomit all over the entire day.
12:00-12:40 The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger
1:00-1:40 Brant Bjork and the LDP Band
1:45-2:10 Reverend Horton Heat
3:10-3:30 Lil B
3:40-4:10 Sylvan Esso
I've gone to both, and I prefer weekend 2.
You can preview sets via Youtube/AXS TV/read about who had the best sets and who was disappointing. Really can help when deciding between...

Soooo, this gives me the opposite of a good feeling. Anyone else get this bizarre "status not updated" message? No updates since then.

Delivery status not updated
GPA update, 3 or more votes only. Top-3 poster lines bolded... kind of interesting hourglass distribution.
AC/DC 4.08 (4)
Charles Bradley 3.88 (8)
Lykke Li 3.72 (11)
Fri: Todd Terje
Sun: St. Vincent
Haven't seen too many on this year's lineup...
Tame Impala - B+: Saw them a few months ago and they seemed much improved since their 2013 Coachella performance. Trippy and well put-together...
GPA's based on the responses so far. 3 or more ratings only, number of ratings in parentheses:
(It's a slow day at work)
AC/DC (3) 4.10
Charles Bradley (8) 3.88
Caribou (3) 3.87...
Somewhat in order:
1. St. Vincent
3. Todd Terje and the Olsens
5. Steely Dan
6. Tame Impala
7. The War On Drugs
8. Royal Blood
As long as they promise to only play songs written before 1975.
1. Arcade Fire
2. Capital Cities
4. Holy Ghost
5. J Roddy Walston & The Business
HM: Chromeo, The Glitch Mob, Beck, GOAT, QOTSA, Darkside, CHVRCHES, Neutral Milk Hotel, Graveyard
4. The Cult
5. Jagwar Ma
2. Queens of the Stone Age
This. Really stoked to see them.
Just headlined Friday night at Glastonbury. They wouldn't headline, but I would love to see them at Coachella 2014.
Same. Only took me 6 minutes for Weekend 1 this year. In the past it's never been faster than 30-45 minutes for me.
I hope not. I was planning on one for 2014.
No 4-person Eldorado tents next year? I only see the teepees listed.
Reignwolf, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Vintage Trouble, Mona, The Shouting Matches
Haha, I'm 98% sure that girl was right next to me during Portugal the Man. No joke.
Grinderman - No Pussy Blues
Portugal. The Man - People Say
Franz Ferdinand - This Fire
The Faint - The Conductor
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Sir Psycho Sexy/They're Red Hot/Soul To Squeeze encore...
Grinderman - My mind is still blown from the awesomeness that was this set.
Franz Ferdinand - Amazing live performers. The crowd was so pumped the entire set.
The Faint - Might be my favorite of...
...and the Stone Roses get 10 minutes less than Blur did last weekend.
Mona, for sure. Also Biffy Clyro, Danny Brown, Reignwolf
I'm guessing they don't usually do a medley style performance... Kind of a good idea, they can squeeze in a couple more songs into the short time slot.
Throwing bits of Say It Ain't So, Heart...
The Stone Roses singer is really pitch-deaf, or just not good at singing. Yikes. The guitarist has some skills at least.
It could have been so much worse for me, so I'm pretty happy with the set times.
Blur vs. Grinderman vs. 1/2 half of Foals is pretty bad.
Yeasayer vs. Grizzly Bear is semi-bad.
Divine Fits/Metric/Japandroids... 20 minutes of each set? Meh
Blur/Grinderman... This hurts. Bad.
Reignwolf/Vintage Trouble... I've seen VT, so I'll probably see most of Reignwolf...
Blur - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - FOALS
Jurassic 5 - Grinderman - How to Destroy Angels - Divine Fits - Lee Scratch Perry
Bassnectar - Tegan and Sara - Metric - Local Natives -...
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Can't wait for this set. Without A Sound is one of my favorite albums of all time.
Straps are invaluable for deadlifting, IMO. There comes a point when double overhand grip, and eventually even mixed grip, can't handle the weight (with a barbell obviously). Straps help with this,...
Had Chrome, IE, Firefox opened. Got through for weekend 2 with Firefox even though I didn't open it until ~10:45. It seems like the selection is all random.
The Black Keys
They should be ending their set right around sunset. Can't wait!
Weekend 2, looking forward to it!
Leaving the north Phoenix/Scottsdale area sometime mid-morning on Thursday the 19th for weekend 2. Can't wait to stop in Blythe!
