while there's no link on the website to the page, http://www.davidbowie.com/tour says "No shows scheduled. Check again later." suggesting something is in the works
My friend and I both bought tickets, leaving me with an extra pair of GA tickets (hard tickets in hand - not ticketfast). I can meet in person around LA or ship. Just trying to recoup my cost.
After Kathleen Hanna started that Bikini Kill website last year, I was hoping to see a Bikini Kill reunion on the Polo Fields
thanks - I complained via email about the excessive searches and silly walk, and the VMT representative basically said "it wasn't our fault" - so it's nice to have another chance
weird - I was down in the orchestra, on the left side, and everyone around us was singing along - it was magical
and thanks for uploading
if we're dreaming, a few of the following reunions/overdue acts would be welcome
You think he'll still be sober as late as 4pm? ;-)
I love this idea, but having the Pogues playing an afternoon slot will guarantee people passed out in the beer gardens before sunset
he would have found anything that was there, trust me - he was really into his job... also, I saw a few female guards run their fingers inside the underwire of women's bras, so be prepared ladies
on Sunday, the guy searching me on the way in from the shuttles didn't make me take off my shoes, but he ran his fingers along the inside of my shoes, between my foot and the shoes. And when he ran...
nauseating & hilarious at the same time
I was about to suggest another possible route with a stop at the Mitchell Caverns (the only cave system in California), but it appears they've been closed to the public thanks to budget issues (as...
wait, you're leaving Indio at 1pm and you plan on being done with Venice Beach, Hollywood-Highland (Grauman's, Walk of Fame, etc) and the Tar Pits by 6pm? you'll be lucky to leave Venice Beach by 6...
why not Godspeed in the Gobi, Miike Snow in the Mojave, and have Feist close the outdoor - Godspeed wouldn't be too hindered by Miike Snow on one side and Feist on the other, and I can't imagine...
This part gives me pause
If you plan on watching her all day, and she knows it, there's no way she'll want to go. However, if you plan on doing some things with her, but also give her some...
Could Miike Snow be in the Mojave at 10:10 instead of closing out the Outdoor? Perhaps Kasabian get an extra 10 minutes, or there's 35 minutes between sets?
or just let Godspeed play a 2-hour set if they like... it they're closing out the Gobi, they won't interfere with Radiohead, and the Outdoor would already be silent for them
Wait, Godspeed in the Mojave? Will anyone be able to hear the beginning of their songs over the Sahara?
if a person is selling you a camping pass, based on the new system, it also means s/he has a festival pass - so just trade your festival pass + $$$ for his/her camping pass and corresponding festival...
but the Godspeed location is perfect - they have Mangum's silent stage time to set up/sound check (which can supposedly take hours for regular shows), and at least the beginning of their set (which...
could Madness and M Ward switch? or would having Jimmy Cliff into Madness be too obvious?
true - if I had known there was a more convenient lot that charged $$$ in 2010, I would have done it
Does Madness need more time? also, would you be able to hear Madness during SHM?
why would anyone pay for parking when it's free?
I think giving m83 the sunset outdoor slot makes perfect sense - overall, this looks really good
but I wonder if the Horrors would conflict with Refused? based on the Horrors' earlier stuff, it...
I agree that Godspeed should have a bit more time, but with the rest of that tent so tightly packed, I don't see how
and would Destroyer play that early in the Gobi? I feel like they're better...
just worked out 3 out of 4 trades I need (2 passes and car camping)
I just need one more Weekend 1 GA pass, which I will give you a Weekend 2 GA for (plus free shuttle pass!)
fIREHOSE or Squeeze? maybe people who care about one of those bands would skip Radiohead?
Woke up with a painful sore throat on the Tuesday before Coachella last year (I went to the doctors, but nothing antibiotic-worthy - the first time in my life I wanted strep so I could at least take...
that's why yours is later - PF confirmed that they sent the easier packages (ie. just tickets) and overseas orders first (look back a page)
maybe they started shipping the ones without camping passes first? since the camping passes are tied to a wristband, perhaps that box needed extra instructions/an extra step?
now that tickets are being sent out, I figured I'd ask again - anyone out there with 3 Weekend 1 passes looking to switch weekends?
oh yeah, and we're all in the Los Angeles area
exactly - if anything, people camping out for SHM might be a bigger problem, but do people camp out for DJs?
also, are that many people really going to camp out for Black Keys, especially seeing...
what about Squeeze or fIREHOSE closing the Gobi against RH? maybe people that are excited about those bands would skip part of RH's set to see them?
it looks like Coachella minus the more unique acts like Jeff Mangum, Pulp, GY!BE and Dre/Snoop... plus, Bonnaroo has Skrillex
well, with a modest collection of freak/apocalyptic folk in my collection (more Death in June, but still a few Current 93 albums), I am actually a little shocked I've never heard of this band until...
no you wouldn't - cause you could have caught DeadMau5 at a later performance... you will probably never have a chance to see Fever Ray again
agreed - I think they should be switched (giving Godspeed the silent Mangum set to set up and sound check)
on James' facebook page, they made an event for both dates at 3pm - kind of an odd time, but since they put 7pm on a festival in Rio, perhaps it's their actual set time?
even if they don't play, thank you for bringing 'em up - fascinating stuff
I don't know, but I had a friend who was so excited about them, she left halfway through Fever Ray's set to catch it, and when I ran past the Gobi to catch the end of PiL, I noticed that there was...
I think trying to plan this day with no conflicts is impossible, and ends up with some weird times, like fIREHOSE on the Outdoor at night, or Squeeze & Buzzcocks in the Mojave during the day (all...
I'm surprised everyone still has Refused closing the Outdoor. Has the possibility of Refused following Jimmy Cliff on the main (ala DFA1979 following Nas & Damian Marley last year) already been...
I'm also looking for weekend 1 (thanks to a split-up group - weekend 2 is not an option due to one person being in a wedding on April 20th)
we have 3 GA passes to weekend 2 (with 3 shuttles and 1...
but who to replace fIREHOSE in that spot... unless they do something similar to the '07 set times as well as giving Mangum the Cohen treatment, with only one band at a time on either the main or...
is fIREHOSE really likely to play that late on the Outdoor? I'm not sure they're really have the audience, and it seems like reunion acts without massive popular appeal have been in the Mojave or...
