If they play in the tent or at night they most definitely will (I dont know if it'll be the same ones in the vid though)
I would love for the Pixies too, but it seems like FYF would have them at subheadliner. It seems like the headliners will only grow or maintain in size.
100% impossible without him
I regret not getting a camping pass. The company I'm going with really did not want to...but my drunkenness usually fades right around the time darkness hits and I can't afford posters AND strong...
The only time I saw the Lips, last year at Riot Fest, there was no in between song banter at all. I'm excited to see a headlining set though. Also I think for anyone unfamiliar with their earlier...
I think he could successfully pull of the first album solo under the moniker Bon Iver or his own name
I still need plane tix and hotel but other than that I'll be making my third trip out! I want to camp but the majority of my friends don't. It's quite a hassle getting out of Carson creek ranch after...
Pretty trippy. I'd hope for a lineup though with that.
I'll have to check out the ones I don't know because the ones you stated are who I agree on too. I think FYF will at least carry ex hex or Sleater Kinney, ought and alvvays.
I try to make the most with the festivals we have, but damn if it didn't ruin my plans for primavera 2013. Thank you though
Not sure if the lineup warrants 350. But ought/alvvays/nothing/fuzz
felony probation for weed
I was hoping it was south of the Canadian border when the rumor was it was northwest... I don't think I woill be allowed into Canada.
I have had a great time both times but I guess I just like the way it sounds.
I think there is no presale. Haven't seen one either
Your missed list is perfect, IlliniQ. I would've loved to see all those acts. I would've enjoyed a Television set too. But I am always okay with Tame Impala.
Is that a real thing??
Also, I'm traveling from LA to SF to see Grouper in February. She's my absolute favorite in regards to ambient and drone. I was wondering if anyone had seen her before and...
This is the list that comes to mind. I'd add Mikal cronin too!
That was my favorite day. Smith Westerns, Dinosaur Jr.,Kurt Vile, Tame impala were all in that stage.
Woo hoo! Thank you for this. Definitely will be getting Swans and Ride tickets.
That was an awesome set, and necessary for me. I was worried I would see them at festivals, and as they are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands, that would not do them justice. Cass mccimbs was...
Which is definitely the best place to see this phenomenal movie.
I've never heard of this band until this moment, and I'm glad you brought it up. Anything Bowie related has my support - though it is difficult to imagine him anywhere besides the main stage.
I'm on felony probation, so I think I would be stopped leaving/coming back. But this is probably the festival I would spend money on if I could go to it.
I think it was to reflect the music that the 12-18 year old kid liked.
Hopefully they sample some of the new stuff that they're going to release. But I agree that they are ready to subheadline. They are a band that I would champion to headline in half a decade or...
I feel like I forgot a lot of good psych albums.
01. The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream
02. Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest
03. Tame Impala - Lonerism
04. Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Before...
I would like to see The Cure there, even though they played Bottlerock last year. Any chance to see The Cure is an exceptional thing.
I guess that's something I should get around to listening to. My buddy made comparisons of "Lost in the Dream" to "The Division Bell" so that has kind of stuck with me in terms of similarity and...
I see Swans on Saturday. definitely a must-see
Thanks man I appreciate it.
It seems to be quite overlooked.
I wish there was something that catered to the avant garde and experimental here on the west coast. If there was not an Austin Psych Fest I'd surely attend this.
Did you hear the new song? Wasn't too impressive...
The new album sounds like it will be great. Here's the latest released single(?) song.
I think this album contains a lot more psychedelia than it is given credit for. Not to take away it's rock merits, but I hear a lot of shimmering keys, ambient soundscapes and droned out goodness...
Totes forgot that thread. Thanks. Any time I access it from a mobile device it crashes, I think due to all the youtube vids but I'm on a laptop now.
Am I allowed to ask song or album starter points?
The War On Drugs should be a no brainer for anyone who wants to "rock". I would've put Angel Olsen on the list too, as her new album is "rockin". But then again she might be playing at the same time...
This is definitely what should happen. Seems like an hour would just be a sample
Can you maybe delete your youtve links. They keep freezing my browser. Also those descriptions don't do any justic to those bands.
I hope that I get to see tame impala, steely dan, acdc and ride all in the same day.
Not a tame impala fan? My list is pretty similar but I would add tame impala as well as angel olsen
that was a good move. I think the only thing psych about that set was the visuals on the iPad in billy gibbons guitar. Does he always play so dull?
And that's super cool and would be awesome if...
The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger is one if Sean Lennon's bands. It's supposed to be pretty psychy but I didn't really get into it. I'm gonna give it a second chance on a speaker that isn't my phone....
This kind of made the lineup for me. I'm just hoping they get a good slot in a tent but I will be happy to see them anywhere in the coachella vicinity.
Wasn't he in that one band? Stripes something? But nobody cares about jack white, but I'm sure people will go crazy if it was billed as the white stripes.
I think moving sidewalks were announced for the second tier of 2013
