I'm in for Moderat and Deerhunter.
Only for old people music and comedians, I think.
Good catch, and HALLELUJAH!
I'm so happy North Park Theater is getting such great shows, but when are they going to sort out their alcohol situation?
Anyone have 9/26 Kanye tickets they'd be willing to trade for 9/25 tickets? My man got a new job and can't take off early on the 25th anymore, afraid we'll miss a good bit of the show driving up from...
Same here, on both counts :)
Was anybody else blown away by Savages at the Casbah last night? Holy hell they were so good. That was definitely the highest energy crowd I've ever seen at that venue, too!
You lucky bastards.
He's a professional, he pulls shows out of his butt. (That's what professionals do).
FML. Frank Ocean, you are the worst.
If Kanye replaces Frank I will cry, because I won't be there.
They did a lovely job with this schedule.
I had the same concern.
Deerhunter is the band that guided me to my first FYF. Hope everything is okay.
I've seen them a good handful of times before, but Tame Impala blew my mind last night. Holy shit did they sound great. Just flawless.

Hannibal Buress was even more hilarious than expected. Eric Andre is a strange dude.
If you ever go to a comedy show at Observatory NP, do not select the "GA standing" option. Those poor folks had...
Glad I have tickets to one of the Hollywood Forever shows. I felt like a sucker for buying them once I saw the NP show listed!
I missed it too. Fuck.
I got all distracted with marriage equality feels!
In case anyone is interested in this show, it's slated for 10/18 at the North Park Theatre/Observatory North Park (according to the band and venue websites)
The CRSSD people are putting on a series of Sunday shows downtown.
DJ sets are such a tease, but early bird tickets for 7/5 are available for $10...
I'm on it. Haven't bought a ticket for a show at Soma since I was out of high school.
Savages at the Casbah Sunday Aug 23rd!!!
Feeling slighty better about missing FYF now.
Still worth refreshing. Lots of folks get tickets after they are "sold out". It's a loose definition.
Not this year, I'm hoping to be super pregnant by April.
Speaking as someone who had to miss their show this past weekend... that is some serious bullshit.
That's really disappointing to hear. I hope they're able to sort it out, it's a great use of the building and such a convenient location.
Having lived right down the street for 5 years (until...
Agreed on all points. They also leave way too many lights on at the merch area and bar during sets. I've broken down and seen a few shows there, but I always leave wishing I saw whoever it was...
I haven't seen a show at the cemetery proper (just in the lodge), what time do shows usually start if the gates open at 7? Really hoping I can make it to this from SD after work.
Interesting to see they're not using Frontgate anymore: https://www.eventsprout.com/register/fyf_festival
Nobody joined him at his Bonnaroo set last year. It was really mellow.
No math, that's what their own website listed on the ticket page earlier this morning.
It looks like last year's info is populating now...
Edit: I still have it on my phone, it says
Flu free for the first time this year. Taking Tuesday off to sleep all day was key.
I am clearly going to the wrong children's birthday parties.
Also, how many times can the Cunningham and Pounds folks get married? Damn.
I had no idea Marina & the Diamonds were so big? There were dozens of people camped outside the north park theatre with chairs and everything at like 2pm yesterday. Crazy.
I wish the installation between the gobi and mojave wasn't so damn similar every year, too. It seems like it's been from the same "collection" for years now.
Mallow Mallow's smores were 2 for $5
Eureka burgers were $13 and $14 (with fries), truffle fries or riblets were $10
Some random large personal pizza in the terrace was $10
Maine lobster roll was...
This installation really made me appreciate not being at work...
Right?? I was on the lookout for those all weekend. You can't end a teaser video promising over 100k projectiles and not deliver.
And the lack of cocoon was dumb. A cocoon on Saturday with...
For some reason they didn't want to let people in the gates along the blue path (day parking) until noon on Friday, even though everything said the gates would open at 11. They let us in a bit before...
If only the Yuma tent was set up for vocals...she would've been so much better indoors. The soundbleed was terrible and I was right in the center of the tent to try to avoid it.
Also, the crowd...
What an asshole move.
Eureka in the beer barn was super good. The osso bucco riblets literally fell off the bone and the truffle fries were ridiculously good. Good burgers too, would recommend sharing unless you're...
Gonna echo everyone here and say it was a big mistake of Coachella to make such a big deal about accepting credit cards. And one of my friends was double charged on her card by the merch booth. They...
You can bring in parasols, but not umbrellas. Allegedly (I saw a few).
Still annoying (no signage and XL lockers could only be issued by one person on the right...), but much faster this year.
Definitely not. Good eye.
Friday: Allah-Las/Action Bronson > Charles Bradley > ??? > Lykke Li > Caribou > Todd Terje > Flylo > Squarepusher or AC/DC
Saturday: Until the Ribbon Breaks > Perfume Genius > Toro y Moi > Carl...
It is kind of crazy that the closest bathrooms to the entrance/exit that are not in a beer garden are all the way over by the Gobi or the new permanent ones near the Do Lab.
