I didn't know you were into rednecks.
Is it a coincidence that there is a Staple on each day of day of Coachella this year. Last year it was SaintChella for me with all the acts with "Saint"" or "St." in their name. This year it's:
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros
The one year I went by myself, 2013, I caught 39 sets. I could barely move Monday morning; my left hip socket was so inflamed. Had to go to the doctor on Tuesday. Now if you see a big, old guy...
There are always changes, some big, mostly small. Who is watching for them?
On which side of the festival grounds?
....into your mouth.
In 2010 I passed on seeing LDC for Fever Ray. Fever Ray was one of the best sets I've ever seen at Coachella, so I have no regrets, but I'm not going to miss them this year.
Coachella does recycle art, but not usually on subsequest years. Just like music artists don't usually appear on subsequent years.
Thanks for the scalper offers, but at this time face value only.
On the rare occasion a band will get a brand new set time. When that happens, such in the case of Sly and the Family Stone in 2010, It got announced by the PA at other stages between sets. I wish I...
I'll have my Fit Bit on too this year, but I doubt I'll hit 10,000 any day, because of my accommodations.
I didn't discover the craft beer tent until Saturday last year, but was so glad I did. They had a lot of amazing stuff last year, and am looking forward to seeing what they have this year.
I don't know about Coachella, but I thought whining was the main purpose of the interwebs.
I won't be hitting the road for about five hours, and I'm already to go, but I just can't sleep. How about you?
Yes. It always ends at midnight, sharp. Then the saddest traffic jam on Earth ensues.
Why limit it to only one woman?
I been both weekends and there is no discernible difference in the experience. Maybe a few less technical problems by W2, as they've worked the kinks out.
I was at the Chili Peppers sand storm show, and the Phoenix Haboob in 2011. While it sucked to deal with that during a show, I could still see and breathe, which was a vast improvement over the...
See you there, again.
Craft 64 just opened in Old Town Scottsdale. It's a craft beer bar with 30 taps of all AZ Beer; a wine bar, as two of the owners are Soms; and a wood-fired pizzaria. The executive chef was the main...
Caught them at SXSW last year. Was surprised I enjoyed the set as much as I did. I wouldn't mind catching them again at all.
On on lark I caught the Ghost of a Sabertooth Tiger's first scheduled set at SXSW last year. Even though it was their first scheduled set, Sean Lennon mentioned it was something like their 7th of...
I've already died from holding my breath.
Also looking forward to this set. Guessing an early set, so no conflicts.
What other punk rock is there on Friday?
Why do you doubt they play next year?
I'll support no matter when/where they play. I think they'd be great in the Yuma, so what, not that I think they would play the Yuma. Four Tet played the Yuma, and I think they could have played a...
Learn to spell.
That's never worked for me.
Hell, the Doors would reunite and tour before Oasis ever buries the hatchet. Spreaking about Hell Freezing over, aren't the Eagle's touring again. Ringo's getting a band back together, too I hear.
Ended up seeing Sara Robinson and the Midnight Special at the Sail Inn on Saturday. I didn't learn they were local, until after their set. They are definitely worth catching if you see them playing...
Damn. I missed getting tix to Father John Misty. You snooze you luze, I guess. Damn.
Endorse. This band has released their best material since they last played. With the success of their last album "David Comes to Life" I don't know why they weren't on the bill this year.
Support. They'd be great for the Yuma tent.
This is the first Coachella I did make any undercover cops. I don't typically hang out at the Sahara though.
F that! I think your board name is cool.
No, it's not, but you can call me that if you wish.
Yeah, this was a great set. I didn't let the sound bleed between songs annoy me. One of only a couple must sees of the weeked, and was not disappointed. A great way to end Saturday.
One of the best surprises of the weekend. Loved this set.
I danced my ass off last year, but maybe once every three years is good enough.
Also met GayPalmSprings Friday. He was hard to miss wearing his Gay Palm Springs t-shirt.
