That was last year. Good news: they both got in.
Is Van Morrison worth seeing these days? He's playing in LA at the Shrine Auditorium. Never seen him, but at the same time don't want to ruin his music for me if he's terrible live.
Anybody able to get to the RSVP page for the secret Teragram show? That site is really terrible.
I haven't personally seen her (would be at the show but have to go to a wedding), but everyone I know who's seen her recently (last 5 years or so) says she is fantastic live.
Anybody ever been to any of the Wine Amplified events? http://www.wineamplified.com/
Might be headed there this year and just wondering if it's well run. Also anyone know anything about the TBA...
Remember when everyone said he'd have his new hit album out by now and be on top of the world and this was such a smart booking and on and on and on.....
The National: A Benefit for Cooperative for Education - The Troubadour - 10/16/15 - Onsale this Friday at 10AM
Edit: JorgeC got the ticket. Thanks!
If anyone has an extra ticket after these two above, I'd greatly appreciate it as well. Thanks.
And Moz and Death Grips consolation ice cream sandwiches
Last year though the trains were too crowded to get on after the show ended for several trains. Our group ended up walking west until we were out of the Uber surge area. Doesn't seem like it will be...
I could be wrong, but I believe it was due to the photos that her family found and developed (shown in episode 5). They appeared to be from one of the "hooker parties" everyone's been talking about. ...
EDIT: Nevermind. Presale passwords were sent yesterday.
I believe that major labels do this for promotional purposes (to push new releases to the top of certain Spotify/Beats/etc charts).
Yeah they really messed up and lost out on a ton of dough by not having more options and quantity. If they had a decent tour manager they could probably swing a lot more shows in the US. I had to...
Anybody able to buy tickets to Lauryn Hill at the Greek yet? I'm only pulling up Ben Howard tickets. Fucking AXS....
Edit: It's working now. Lots of A section still available.
Agreed that the show was awesome. They had soooo many guest singers (that's probably why they can't tour here very often). Tuxedo and Bootsy were great too.
"LA Opera Presents:
Dracula with Philip Glass and the Kronos Quartet at the Ace Theatre DTLA
October 29-31 — Presale starts now"
PW = Ace
Gary Numan playing 3 full albums (Telikon, Replicas, Pleasure Principle) over 3 nights at the Teragram Sep 29 - Oct 1
Chicago got System Of A Down and The Prodigy. Pretty good additions.
Anyone know what's going on with the Duran Duran/Chic show at the Hollywood Bowl? It was supposed to be onsale today but now it says pending. Plus Chic is no longer listed.
Damn that's a shame, RIP. WWE has a Flair vs. Dusty rivals doc that is fantastic.
I look forward to next year's AXS presale clusterfuck.
The cheaper presale Festival Supreme tickets are onsale now. I guessed the PW was supreme and that seems to work.
I was there too and pretty much agree about everything. Seems like Keith might be slipping a bit, his guitar work on some songs seemed a little off and at times way too loud in the mix. They were...
Agreed, I hope he records a live album of this tour. The arrangements were fantastic and Blue Bucket Of Gold was a brain melter.
Anybody still on the boards who has gone to this? If so, would you recommend going? Can't find much info on the rest of the interwebs.
Nice lineup, how early do you need to be there to get in? Right at 4 when they allow you to line up?
Third show looks to be sold out. Darn.
Pretty nice lineup, especially considering the price. Anybody been to this version of the fest before?
On an side note, does anyone think they actually re-sell the tickets that they rescind because of errors in the payment plan? Are they just added to the travel packages? B/c they can't be appearing...
This is totally untrue. Saw him in Vegas (of all places) in 2014 for his Songs In The Key Of Life tour. He slayed it, and that album is nearly 2 hours long with the bonus EP. Plus he did an encore...
They had two (both played in Carson), but one (Chivas) went out of business. So this stadium will be for the new replacement team.
Watch stubhub or craigslist I guess. I'm sure people make plans to go and then cancel them since they have to buy the tickets months in advance. You'll probably be able to get something close to...
Yeah I think it's mostly a scare tactic. I don't think they really care that much (otherwise they could do credit card entry shows like Kraftwerk did at Disney). You can always write your name in...
This lineup would be verging on acceptable if the venue wasn't so awful. I'm assuming they won't have fixed any of the problems from last year so gonna take a pass this year.
Has he gotten better live? That first time he played Coachella was pretty bad, from my recollection. Also new songs at fests don't usually work out too well (remember LCD in 09?)
Edit: NM saw...
MM are playing at Hollywood Forever. Such a weak lineup. They're really going all in on bass/R&B this year.
They're playing May 31 at the new Teragram Ballroom in Westlake/City Center, so I think they won't be at FYF.
So DFA for FYF and Incubus for Made In America? And tossup on Deftones?
Same here, hopefully not too many tix in that pre-sale allotment.
Just read the Rolling Stone (magazine) article. They are doing it as a tie-in to re-release of Sticky Fingers (it's got a zipper on the cover, this is the ZIP code tour, get it?). Can't tell if...
Such odd tour routing, and no LA date. Very bizarre. But I guess a lot of gaps to be filled in.
I think they'll do them again. They make more money on single day tickets, so if they think they can sell them all (which they should have no trouble doing), I don't see why they wouldn't. Also, in...
Me too. Gonna try the app.
Update: Got 1 after several tries on the app.
Thanks. Ugh that's disappointing, gotta switch tickets now for that show.
Sorry, I meant the Ace Theatre. But it's nice that KITH do the same. Ace basically prices everything like a GA show.
If I recall correctly, they usually don't charge much (if anything) extra for closer seats. They're harder to get though because of this.
Anybody know who the headliner is for the TBA KCRW Sunday show? (I got the 3 show package with that, Basement Jaxx and Grace Jones). The helpdesk at the Phil said it was a Coachella artist so they'd...
The venue themselves book the bands. So it's really Verizon Amphitheater who are the dummies. Not sure why the promoter thought they could sell out Verizon, even with Dashboard attached, but the...
