Did they have Hooloomooloo? I wanted to try that one, too!
I bought a pack of Booming Rollers at the same time as City of the Sun, and I thought Booming Rollers tasted like a session IPA compared to City of the Sun.
Modern Times City of the Sun is phenomenal. I highly recommend it. Such a great IPA with a great dank scent that filled up our hotel room.
Im headed to Disneyland next week and I was thinking about stopping at Noble Ale Works to pick up some bottles to keep in the hotel room. Do they usually have a good selection? I'd also like to...
I just read an interview with one of the members of Tortoise, and it sounds like they are playing this year...unless there is another small fest at Arcosanti.
Dang, I would totally go Friday but I'm going to be out of town.
Need ideas for my wife who is really stepping up her game as a photographer. I got her her first dslr for her birthday early in 2015 and she has taken off. I was thinking about getting her a...
Honestly, I have no idea. This is a girl I knew from high school who sent me a friend request. But all her posts are insane. From what I can decipher, sounds like she has a drug problem and maybe...
Holy fucking shiiitttt...
Thanks for the info. In case anyone cares, the Rebel Lounge does accept cards at the door. They've also got 6 beers on tap, in addition to the extensive bar selection. Prices were very reasonable...
Do you know if they take cards if you buy tickets at the door? Do they have beers on draft or just cans?
Not sure how it works since a friend gave me the heads-up on the show. I doubt they will be checking that everyone has a Marriot Rewards Card at the bar.
Anyone been to the Rebel Lounge? Headed...
Cut Copy is playing the Rennasaince Hotel on Sept 21st downtown. RSVP below, and open bar if you enroll in the Marriot Rewards program:
Awesome, this is very helpful. Thanks! Are there any restaurants in North Park that are veggie friendly with a good tap list?
Is Alpine's brewery in the same location? Or did it move with the pub? Do you still purchase beer to go at the brewery or do you get it at the new pub?
Good to know about Alpine, prob just going to grab bottles and maybe a growler fill if they have something interesting on tap. If it's just the regulars then bottles all the way. Do they still have...
I really dug Thorn Street when I went last year so I may try and stop by there again, too!
I'll be in SD in a month and planning on hitting up Modern Times Point Loma, and also hope to make it to the Rip Current tap room in North Park either before or after Mew at Observatory North Park. ...
Gang of Four is playing the Crescent???!!!
Oh man, I need to take a trip to MA.
This is very helpful, thank you.
What are the growler laws in CA? I have a stainless growler without a brewery logo on it and I was wondering if I will run into issues trying to get it filled. The growler does have the gov't...
I've read some amazing things about Tree House. Please post some reviews after your visit!
I asked my sister to bring me some Surly Coffee Bender when she came out to visit. She said she couldn't find it so decided to bring me the following...
New Glarus Rasberry Tart
New Glarus mix...
Has anyone been to the Valley Bar for a show yet?
I really dig this lineup, and it's over my birthday, so I'm strongly considering it.
I think Re-Harmonize, the last song on the deluxe edition of Why Make Sense?, is IMO the best song Hot Chip has released. Its essentially 2 songs, and I love how it just keeps going on and on. I'm...
Thanks for sharing this. The Surfing album is great! I would have never even heard of this without your post. Anything else you recommend from 1080p?
The Form fest at Arcosanti is free. Some of my friends went last year and had a great time.
Damn Houston, you're going to get straight jacked in the post season when teams will have two hack targets who can't hit their FTs.
Also, Marc Gasol is my early pick for MVP...although he has come...
I had the BCE but called and upgraded/product changed to the BCP.
We use AMEX Blue Cash Preferred which has an annual fee of $75 but you get 6% cash back in grocery purchased up to $6K/year. We spend just about $6K in groceries for our family each year so we get...
McDowell Mountain Music Fest lineup looks decent this year.
I live in the same neighborhood.
Where do you live? We get food from Los Taquitis probably once a week since the 48th St location is right up the street from us. I love that place. Always go with the green salsa.
Me too. I caught the last song of their set at Coachella 2009 and regretted not seeing the whole thing. I would love to see a proper set.
We always hit the OB location when we are in town.
An annual night of house music with a really diverse crowd.
And...Red Monkey was fucking awesome.
Probably hitting up Red Monkey tonight.
Bump! What's all this flooding noise?! I'm in San Diego this week and I'm missing all the action! Honestly I hope our house is okay.
I saw her in October 2008, but it looks like the April 2008 show was canceled. Anyways, here's a slide show from the October 2008 concert from the New Times. I agree with the picture captions.
Actually, that does sound pretty cool to pour a couple ounces to see if you actually like it without having to pay for a full beer.
I love Amplified Pignose Pale Ale, and we have planned a dinner there during a point in our trip. I'll have to check out the other places. What's up with the self serve beer bar in PB?
Pretty sure Cat Power did not cancel her 2008 show since I was there at the Marquee when she played.
I'll have to check Belching Beaver out, too.
Thanks for the recommendations. I love Alpine and will be picking up some Duet and Pure Hoppiness for sure along the way to our rental in Pacific Beach. Got a growler of Bad Boy one time at Alpine...
