READY 2 SHOEGAZE
yes please yes please yes please yes please
Already heading to Mogwai, and I think Ty Segall will be really cool too! Thanks for the recs. Can't wait to see y'all at Lana.
u have told me a lie
I'm looking for recommendations of particularly noise-heavy acts to fry my ears this weekend. I'm aware of and very excited for Bo Ningen on the noise rock front, and Factory Floor seem to...
yeah, i just mean 'still' because i already mentioned them in this thread. they were touring this year so.
can we please get them now GV please please please
My Bloody Valentine
We'd better get him guesting with Ferg
Oh god yes, we need Boris
is there a particular album i should start with for mogwai? i've heard of them for a long time but haven't really spent time with them.
gonna be a great show
Another thumbs up for Bo Ningen
wayyy pumped for these guys. coachella needs more jp talent.
(skip to about an hour and 44 minutes to catch his set)
i don't mind the booking so much but i can't fathom why it's so high on the poster
a can't-miss. idk why people are talking so much crap about the dance lineup this year. yeah there's lots of anthemic hands in the air crap but with cajmere, aeroplane, tiga, dj falcon, duke dumont,...
he puts out some amazing remixes but i'm not super hyped on some of his solo work. still, gonna be a great show 'cause he's a killer DJ.
also anyone who doesn't stay on him should check out the 3 remixes he put out last year. one for justice, one for alan braxe, and one for alex gopher. he has one coming out for phoenix really soon.
i hope she washes her hair before then
not that i'll be stopping by to see
i can't wait to see this discussion go round and round on the boards for another year
and damn what a song
dj falcon is another DP collaborator on the poster to give the stupid rumors some more fuel
but really if people are yelling DAFT PUNK during either pharrell's or falcon's sets like they did at...
came here thinking i was gonna have to start a thread for him. definitely the most exciting show for me this year. those of you who haven't seen his sets before should google for 'em, they're all...
We started a 'PHOENIX!' chant in the middle to counter all the idiots. You'd think they'd have gotten the hint when Pitchfork, NME, etc. published a statement straight from the DP camp saying they...
Sure he's funny but with the limited time they had it was a bit much.
This was a great set for a hardcore fan like me. Everyone around me was complaining about it the whole time though. Isaac was really on point despite his silly rambling.
I was a bit late but the songs I caught were great. The finale was wonderful, total dance party in the back.
One of the best sets of the weekend for sure. Blew away my experience with them at Rock the Bells 2010.
I wish he'd just play Call On Me for an hour.
Gaspard's fault. And the volume was a bit much.
Super excited to see MM for the first time. What kind of stuff do they usually play these days? My favorite era for them is pre-Moon and Antarctica but I really love it all.
Phoenix, Hot Chip, and Grizzly Bear will be there at least
I don't care for Childish Gambino at all, but Kendrick Lamar will bring it.
That's a really depressing thought.
I haven't had mine for that long, so this only reflects what I've been listening to for the past few months.
1 Perfume 265
2 A Tribe Called Quest 262
I've really enjoyed discovering them but I am worried about seeing them after this thread.
I am so happy to hear this.
Justice (and subsequently the whole Ed Banger scene) were a huge deal to me when they exploded originally. Despite this, I never got to see them live, so I'm excited to finally get the chance.
Loved this guy's mixtape. Houston Old Heads is one of my most played songs of late last year. Really excited to see him.
Both of them are great men!
Two I'm really, really hoping to hear. Especially the first one.
Personally I find his music cliched and Deadmau5-y. To each his own though.
(or Marble Players)
The overcrowding wasn't all bad. Security were so tired at car camping on Friday that they simply didn't give a fuck. And when they rerouted us elsewhere after we got our X, we could go load the car...
They were all there musically, especially the drummer. They sounded a lot better at Coachella than they had in the past.
I thought The xx performed very well, but the show itself was so boring! They have no presence whatsoever.
