Don't be sad, everything is going to be OK.
Listening to the Dan on Spotify - just realized "Peg" is what De La Soul sampled for "Eye Know". Learn something new everyday!
Yeah, I was thinking that myself - no Yuma last year on the stream. That would be really cool if they fitted a few cameras looking over the DJ booth and then maybe another overlooking the danceflloor...
I was just looking over who they streamed last year, and they really didn't skimp on showing big name acts. They streamed Outkast and Arcade Fire but no Muse. They better stream AC/DC this year.
Thanks for the Bit Funk recommendation, digging this!
So when they say "Plus Many More to be Announced", do you OSL vets think this will include a major subheadliner add or two? Or simply a few more undercard acts and the comedians?
I'm a little underwhelmed. I honestly thought there would be one more legendary or rare act in the place of the Black Keys, which would have made it more exciting for me. But I'm stoked for Kendrick,...
Would have to say Kendrick. I love classic rock but Elton John just never did it for me. If it was an act like Neil Young or the Stones, than absolutely.
Sweet baby jesus YES, going to take this as a likely confirmation.
I was following the CRSSD Fest tag on Instagram and saw some video of the empire of the sun lead singer kind of pushing this girl off the stage that was dancing behind him - he looked pretty pissed...
I mean, their graphic design team probably made that placeholder months ago. Maybe I'm just being optimistic and impatient haha
That "lineup info coming soon" image makes it seem like they'll be releasing the lineup today - I don't see why they'd post "coming soon" if they were going to wait multiple weeks.
Will be attending OSL for the first time this year! But yikes, $327 for an early bird ticket after all is said and done? Thought it would be a little bit less based on earlier posts in this thread.
Still the greatest Blink song of all time
For all you SF locals, what are the best venues in the city? I am moving there from San Diego in February permanently and I know next to nothing about the city. I just purchased tickets to Title...
We had freaking Headhunterz and Krewella last year. No bookings will ever be as terrible as those two
New album coming out April 7th. I'm diggin' the new song. I wonder if the new album will be more rock and guitar focused compared to the more beat and electronic Anything in Return
Cloud Nothings - Hands down the best live show I saw in san diego in 2014.
Todd Terje - His most recent album is incredible and I'm intrigued by what a full band will sound like
The War on Drugs -...
Yeah, I've noticed that too. Wish they had put Anti-Flag on Sunday last year, best closing set of the weekend in my opinion - huge circle pit, drummer brought his kit into the crowd... fackin awesome
The Aliens in the Outfield EP is amazing. Seems like they're tightening up their sound a little and they have a new full length coming out in 2015. Would be an awesome booking
Haha I guess that mean's no Taylor Swift for us :(
What about Pink Floyd as a headliner? Listening to their new album on Spotify right now
It sounds like Kendrick is making progress on the new album and he's surely big enough to headline after the success of GKMC...
Random question, but is there a way to view your Coachooser artists on the Set Times layout? I know the app will probably allow me to view it this way, but was wondering if you can do it from the...
I'm staying in a house Rancho Mirage this year and our group does not have shuttle passes, so it's looking like we'll be dependent on a cab, Uber ride or finding some random local with a van to drive...
I think you're the dumb one. Heineken is $9.00. What do you think a fine crafted IPA is going to be then? Oh yeah, really expensive. My expectations are inline with reality.
I have a feeling the craft beers will be like $15. Not that buying a $9 Heineken is a good deal, but I'll probably have one IPA to start the day and that's about it, can't afford that shit. I stick...
SO bummed all of French Express is weekend 2. Piiiiiiisssss out my aaasss
Bear Hands - that Giants song is already getting played a ton on alternative stations.
Its gotta be Bonobo
I'm a big Bombay fan, and I really wanted to like this album, but it's just meh to me. Aside from Luna, there's just not any other tracks that really standout to me, personally. I thought I Had the...
Yes, Newcastle is the way to go. I actually enjoy the beer garden in between the main and outdoor quite a bit - I feel like you can get a relatively good view of the outdoor stage if you sit by the...
Title Fight. Great punk band
There's some shitty top line acts this year. However, the fact I can see STRFKR, Outkast, Little Dragon and Anti-Flag in the same weekend makes this lineup worth it for me. I'm happy
I checked out the playlist out of curiosity. Her caption: "Lets get an early start on Coachella2014, shall we? The expected and predicted" Probably just someone who follows the board and/or Monklish,...
Same, his Magic Tape series are great. Could see him maybe getting an early Sahara slot or, even better, Yuma
The Magician confirmed! Awesome nu-disco DJ, saw him play at Quality Social down in San Diego. The artist teasers have begun. https://soundcloud.com/themagician
I had to convince my girlfriend to leave postal service for this - had to explain to her that Everything Sux was the first CD I ever bought and how much these guys meant to me growing up. Sure...
Are you sure about this? I literally just bought an e-cigarette for the festival thinking it would be fine. I swear I remember a thread from last year with tons of people talking about bringing...
I was about to poop my pants, but managed to simply turtle-head once I saw the picture and have a laugh. Good job OP.
The cigarette thing is incredibly true. People get so excited when I willingly let them bum a cig and usually want to hang out and talk for a moment. Cigs are like prison currency in there, so funny
Wild Nothing seems like a good nap band to me
1. Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Zero
2. New Order - Age of Consent
3. Danny Brown - Monopoly
4. The Faint - The Geeks Were Right
5. Disclosure - Latch
6. Descendents - Everything Sux
7. Social Distortion...
They're a trio. The guitarist loops riffs and noises to make a fuller sound. I've only seen them live once and it was just the trio on stage, no back up musicians that I could see, not sure if they...
I find it interesting that these days Mike Ness and Social D's fans are associated with so called "bros" when in high school he was the one getting in fights with the jocks and "bros" of his day. And...
Check out trash talk - sick hardcore band
This is one of the strongest undercards I have ever seen. Props to GV. So much amazing punk
Are you referring to the flower that was raised up on that giant lift over the fields? I saw that, the flower in the video just looked different, like a futuristic version.
Holy shit! That metallic, light-up flower thing looks incredible at 1:20 in the video. Has that been at the fest before?
