Can't make the trip and gotta dump these.
Should come out to be cheaper than buying from Ticketmaster.
re: Trent playing with Numan.
I just realized Dillinger Escape Plan is playing. They are a favorite of Trent's and have come onstage and played Wish and other songs with Trent on various NIN...
I was just going to start this thread. Agreed; I'd say it's nearly a sure bet that Trent shows up with Numan.
It's top heavy this year: The B and C squads are kinda weak
Don't know if this was posted yet: The last two dates of Vampire Weekend's tour via Pitchfork.
04-14 Pomona, CA - Fox Theater
04-19 Oakland, CA - Fox Theater
I figure if Kyuss was going to play Coachella it would have been after that performance - We can still hope, though
The National - They kick ass and much more, more than welcome to return in '09
They sent out an email a month or so ago - I believe they are laying low all of next year and returning in 2010...way...
After listening to this Ep over and over today, I would just like to once again mention how much I love it. It's $4 on iTunes or $5 on the Spinnerette website - I highly recommend it.
Just got the 4 song Ep...awesome! I didn't don't Alain Johannes was going to be in the band! I can't wait for their full release...maybe a Coachella appearance?
Josh Homme = Queens of the Stone Age leader
Troy is the long-time (3 albums is a long time for a band member not named Homme to be in QOTSA) guitarist for Queens
He had a hat but not the hat. He was wearing some crusty old baseball hat, dirty old jacket and such.
He was really cool and put his hand out to shake mine when I asked (somewhat rhetorically)...
Massive Attack was my favorite of 06 - I'd pay just to see them open with False Flags again...that gave me goosebumps.
It was awesome - I've seen many celebrities before but this ranks pretty high up there on the coolness/awesomeness scale. I mean...it's AC/DC! Too bad their tickets are $100 and I couldn't afford to...
I never heard about him being there with UNKLE - Homme hasn't been there since EODM in '06
No no...I am not Mr. Homme - But I am with you on hoping Josh shows up in some way in '09.
I'm willing to bet Eagles of Death Metal play again this year... with a new album, tour, and of course...
I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but could '09 be the year Goldenvoice lands U2?
They are in the studio now, but I'm not sure when the new album comes out.
I don't listen to them much...
My worst moment of Coachella 08 - Streak of attending Coachella four straight years comes to an end...Sadly watch some performances online
My two cents as of right now:
Killers (that's my only one for now)
Fleetwood Mac isn't quite the same as Roger Waters when it comes to classic rock at Coachella...Fleetwwod Mac is simply not a good fit for the festival.
Daft Punk...there, I said it.
And I wasn't seeing anyone else...I was heading back to the hotel.
How was I suppose to know?! I hadn't listened to them before at that point.
One of my biggest regrets, musically speaking, is missing DFA1979 when they were in Phoenix - And I don't think they will ever reunite...they really seem to hate each other and seem happy with what...
I just don't see him at any current festival, much less one in the middle of the of the CA desert - Glastonbury, maybe
If I had to place money on one band for Coachella '09 I'd go with Eagles of Death Metal:
1) They are awesomely sexy
2) New album just came out
3) Palm desert natives
4) They are awesome
If Puscifer shows up and recreates this performance my 3-day pass will be worth the price of admission: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJvvxEs1_pE
Here's more on the Doves...http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/147970-doves-to-return-in-2009-with-fourth-album
New album our next year and they start touring in February
I've been hoping for Lou since I first went to Coachella in '04 - I can't see him doing anything like Coachella though. He seems to be all about keeping his shows intimate which Coachella is not.
Easy, big fella...That's actually a conservative figure. Last time I sold about 150 CDs (not of this quality, either) and the winning bid was over $500. If you use Buy It Now on this auction it would...
I don't know if this breaks the "No Spam" rule, but here ya go...
I've done three auctions like this on Ebay before and always made a few bucks off it so I'm selling off the rest of my collection...
I hope it's worth it. Ten Silver Drops was quite disappointing.
But I'd still love to see them live again. First Wave Intact live...god damn it's good.
BUMP: due to edit
EDIT: Pass has been sold. Thread can be deleted.
Funny you mention that...I was just watching 25th Hour a couple weeks ago, and I was wondering what the hell happened to Ed. He goes on a streak with American History X and Fight Club, a couple bad...
"You got yourself a stew!"
I did a Search and nothing came up, so the board douche police can lay off if this has been posted somewhere already.
Actor Jason Bateman has confirmed plans are underway for a movie...
They didn't play 'Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors'?
This was the best picture from the debates CNN could post on their main page? It didn't raise any eyebrows?
Anything other than Felt Mountain doesn't do anything for me.
What happened to the special parking for 4+ people that was advertised last year? It didn't look like they did anything special last year. I know we had four in the car and didn't get crap.
Right...Iha is taking Rilo Kiley's place and going on after Queens of the Stone Age reunite with Nick Oliveri.
I totally forgot about the douches on the soundboard. I just remember thinking "This could be the beginning of something real bad."
Thank god it ended without incident.
Autolux has a chick drummer. She doesn't sing, but she's cool to watch drumming away.
Stars has male and female vocals.
Try the song 'Ageless Beauty.'
I don't get the title of this thread. But yes, the Boxer is quite good and they are just about the only act I want to see Friday.
What? You're defending an article that you don't even know exists? Just because some random guy posted this "news" on the Coachella boards (even though no QOTSA board member has heard of this) you're...
Like I said, I'm no fan of his and could go for someone else (like Prince, Bowie, Radiohead, etc), but its just one 90-minute act over three days. Granted, a very prime 90 minutes, but still.
