  1. Re: The Thread In Which We Post Our Facebook Friends' Annoying Status Updates

Living in the Confederate Capital sure does come with it's flag/racism debates, and my FB has proven to be the battlefield for it.
  2. Re: The Thread In Which We Post Our Facebook Friends' Annoying Status Updates

That's about $30 too much raised so far.

+1 for the Reading Terminal Market recommendation. It's a giant marketplace downtown filled with international food vendors (a lot of Amish kitchens, too). That roast pork from Dinic's is delicious &...

Anyone seen this recently? Epic news stories from The Sunshine State.

  6. Re: words people use that make you realize they are a douchebag

Really? I've seen it in the noun form recently, like a woman referring to her boyfriend as such "when your bae does this to you" kind of memes.

I think I saw it on the cover of a magazine, too.
  7. Re: words people use that make you realize they are a douchebag

Around the Washington DC metro area, the common nickname for I-495 (interstate that circles DC) is "The Beltway". I guess that's sort of the same thing, though its not referred to as "The 495".
  8. Re: words people use that make you realize they are a douchebag

    "bae"

which is apparently short for "babe"

    what.
  9. Re: The Thread In Which We Post Our Facebook Friends' Annoying Status Updates

You do hear it in hilarious satire, though.

    Re: Swans are not dead

I saw these guys this past Thursday in a small, 350-person club. It was one of the most intense shows I've seen in a long while.

Anyone seeing them at Coachella is in quite a treat.

This is my 4th year not going. Enjoy Ride for me.

And you jerks need to let me know when you're on the east coast.

There isn't much crazy variation between his albums - I'd honestly start with the compilation Holy Roller which covers alot of what they've done, and it'll be some stuff that you'll hear at the show...

You all better be getting down to some psychobilly freakout.

Hope he and the gang get put between to softer indie pop bands. That'll be fun for everyone involved.
