Day by day lineup's are out.
Care to elaborate on how you know this to be fact?
Are they coming out with new material? This seems out of the blue.
Does ELO ever do festivals?
Has anyone seen Brian Wilson in the last year and a half and if so has he gotten better vocally? I saw him at the Bridge School Benefit in October of 2014 and his voice wasn't sounding to good.
Isn't it a little early for The Killers to be returning?
I certainly don't mean to say that I think it is likely, so much as they are one of the players this year and therefore could be a "out of the blue" headliner. I think more likely we will end up...
So I know this is probably batshit crazy, but I'm just throwing it out there. Is it possible that Iron Maiden could be the Sunday headliner? I say Sunday because they will be in Germany on August 4th...
Not to be nitpicky because you are doing a great job thus far Vasoline, but Neil headlined in 2012 not 2011.
What about Eminem? He's headlining Lollapalooza in March, hasn't played the bay area in a long time. Certainly not on many peoples radars I should think, so it would have the surprise factor.
Yeah, I really don't mean to be a downer, I'm just trying to be realistic. Thanks for doing all the updates btw. You're doing a fantastic job thus far.
Not that I want them there but what are the odds of Kings of Leon as a headliner? They are coming out with another album this year supposedly and are headlining Firefly in June.
Are we really...
While I agree that your logic seems pretty sound on the LCD and Dead and Co thing, I feel like Pearl Jam is just as likely. Unless I'm forgetting something PJ hasn't played a concert in the bay area...
I think it's safe to say that regardless of how we feel this will sell out pretty quickly, though they probably could have booked Imagine Dragons again and it still would do that. Just the way...
Deleted mine, thanks for posting it proper.
Lineup was leaked via newspaper clipping then quickly deleted.
Stevie Wonder, Chili Peppers, and Florence & the machine as headliners
Death Cab, Rodrigo Y Gabriella, Walk the moon, x...
Good to know!
What do you guys think the odds are that Dead & Company will be a headliner?
Apparently the lineup will be out at 8AM PST tomorrow.
I know it's probably not a popular opinion but I'd be alright with that as I have yet to see them. Are they bad live?
You are right about the Dave thing, he said that in 2013. That said, Foo's are done touring for now aren't they?
Green Day I could see, though I hope it's not them as I am not a fan.
I'm glad I'm not the only one on the Snoop thing. One of the acts I looked forward to the most that weekend and easily the biggest disappointment. Looking back it seemed like most of his set he was...
Great read, sadly I only went to Bottlerock and one day of Hardly Strictly this year so my list would be way less interesting. I appreciated this write-up though.
Who would you say were the 10...
Based on who is available and the type of acts they have historically booked, I'm also keeping my expectations within reason. That said, I can't make Outsidelands due to a scheduling conflict so...
Line-up out on the 5th (same day as Coachella) tickets on the 7th.
So Miike Snow is dropping their third album March 4th.
Outsidelands, Treasure Island, or Bottlerock?
I think Outsidelands since they have already played Treasure Island (though it was back in...
I could see it being PJ/Billy Joel/Coldplay
I have a feeling Disclosure will end up headlining Saturday at Treasure Island this year. I think 2013 and sooner is fair game but most of the 2014/15 bill is out of play for 2016. Last apperance of...
Damn, I finally thought I was going to get to go to Outsidelands, but alas, I have a conflict with Defcon in Vegas the same weekend every year. One of these days.
How possible is it that Outsidelands will be the second weekend of August again this year? It seems like it's usually the second weekend or is the weekend after Bonaroo a more historically accurate...
Bands we can effectively rule out
The three headliners of Bottlerock (Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Florence + The Machine)
Metallica (playing AT&T Park on 2/6)
Any predictions? Hopefully the lineup will improve from the last couple of years...
Pre-Sale is December 15th
Last years (or I guess this years I should say) line-up dropped on January 5th.
On the topic of Sketch Fest, I highly recommend you guys all check out the mock presidential debate. James Adomian's Bernie Sanders is not to be missed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGRAonpLeQg
Good point, I still expect them to pop up at Outsidelands sometime in the next five years or so.
The list of possible Outsidelands headliners for 2016 just got one name shorter.
Which day would that be?
I really enjoyed St. Vincent acoustic but I haven't seen her live before so I'm probably a bit biased.
This was my sixth year going to Bridge and never have I seen it this sparse. I only went...
I was wondering that too, he was set to close the stage he was on on Sunday after Emmylou Harris, now Emmylou is the closer.
I was wondering/thinking the same thing. It has to, where else would the put it? Unless they expanded more into that apartment area somehow.
Has an act ever had a solo shoreline gig booked and bridge? I know the Foos played liket he Oracle and Bridge the same weekend a few years back but that might have been okay because they were...
That's been my prediction for months now, I'll be very surprised if they are not added to the bill today. It would be weird for them to add the band that would likely go on latest after tickets go on...
Nils now only appears on Saturday according to ticketmaster.
I hope they don't, waaaaay too much setup time with the amount they have had in recent years. The smaller the lineup, the more music.
PJ back to back years and Dixie Chicks out of left field. Interesting. Parts of the lineup I like, parts I'm meh about.
Lineup just dropped.
•Neil Young and Promise of the Real
•Gary Clark, Jr.
Bruce would be a surprise.
Ugh, it has happened before there, it could happen again. I still think it's going to be the Foo's that "headline" this thing. I think we have a good chance of seeing Santana, Elvis Costello, Jenny...
I agree, but 45,000 tickets big? Last several years it has sold out, I don't think the bill has enough weight currently (if this info is accurate) to move 45,000 tickets.
I certainly hope so, so far it's looking pretty bland IMO.
Supposedly some radio station leaked at least part of the lineup this morning, can't find any more confirmation beyond hearsay. Anyways someone was listening to 95.3 and heard that: Neil Young and...
My bets on Thursday, the day after the Foo's play the shoreline.
Three or four people have already said that.
