L7: Where Did It All Go Wrong?
I always thought they could have been one of Southern California great legendary bands like X, Los Lobos, The Byrds or Social Distortion. Smell The Magic was a lifechanging album for me, and with Bricks Are Heavy and the ensuing hype, L7 seemed poised for a major breakthrough. Then this was followed by...nothing. Actually two more great albums that surpassed their predecessors in every conceivable way but by then it was obviously over for them and they were to never achieve any sort of commercial success or recognition whatsoever.
So, Coachella Forum, what happened? Where did it all go wrong?

Who remembers Donita threatening to play Phil Collins at Lolla 1994 when someone threw something?
