As a huge fan of a lot of his production I hate to inform you all that his set at the palladium was not really that good. It had it's moments but there was TONS of cheesy shit in there. IF he gets booked as cirez D(his dark techno moniker) then it might be better. His mixing was decent and track selection was fairly uninspiring.
Can someone explain what is so face melting about that show? The little hologram thing is cool, but even that has pretty boring visuals
Saw him perform with this stage and thought it was pretty damn cool:
It would be great to see a Cirez D set, but as far as I know, I don't think he ever gets billed under that moniker.
This is just me thinking out loud, but does anyone else thing Prydz's novelty is going to wear off fast once he moves to the States? Especially if he starts up a residency in Vegas or something, I just think much of the reason why people in the US are so obsessed with seeing him is because he rarely shows up on lineups due to his fear of flying. He's a fantastic producer and a really great DJ, but I still think a lot of his draw is due to his somewhat rare appearances, and once he moves to the US, that factor is gone.
Is he actually moving to the states? Has he said this?
And I don't think it will significantly matter once the novelty is gone, he's still one of the best DJs in the business. His mountain view identity set was better than the palladium set although I definitely enjoyed both.
And I was at the Mountain View set too, it was pretty incredible. Hated being around a bunch of 16 year olds though.
Saw him in Ibiza this year and he was brilliant.
Callll on meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. On me.
Bump because Prydz is awesome. Please book Prydz. Thanks GV!
He has said over and over again he isn't playing it anymore. He got tired of it, so he stopped playing it in '04. Not even one of his top 10 tracks so it's not like we are missing out on anything.
CUZ THE HITS ARE ALL THAT MATTER
not the same
I don't know, i wasn't at the Palladium show, but his set from Stockholm in June is excellent.
Eric Prydz @ericprydz
En route to LA. Fresh Prydz in Belair...
Fuck the haters, here is his brand new Pryda track that is going to be released in a few weeks that is excellent.
He's actually an excellent DJ, I have a ton of respect for him. I'd like to see him live...
I saw him at identity.over the summer
Was my favorite live set of the year. He takes you on a journey. I had tickets to see him in nyc for turkey day but got sick. Really hoping he comes to the polo grounds
^this....except the second and fourth sentences.
100% support Prydz being there in any form.
Eric.Prydz.In.Concert. to Close the Sahara on Friday or Sunday would be nuts.
Prydz would be cool. Doubt it will happen.
