Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
Did I already post about the terribly annoying thing that happened to me on the weekend?
Someone had signed up for OKC and chatted with guys for as long as a week. Then gave all of them my phone number on the same day.... like, they had set up dates and things with these guys. I felt kind of bad for them. Some of them were kind of cute though... the whole thing was really weird. I cant figure out if it was a friend thinking they were being funny, or if its some kind of creepy dude I burned. I emailed OKC and they deleted the account/banned the IP anyway. Debating changing my phone number.

Hairy is awesome. I love the natural look. How many ladies here don't shave or wax?

Different lady.

Bummer. From reading that I was hoping it was her. Weird? probably.

What the frack? I hope you find out who was responsible for that. If it was a joke, it's a terrible joke.

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
My friends are much funnier than that so I'm leaning towards it being someone creepy. I emailed OKC but all they could do was delete the account and ban the IP. super weird.

Good one.
Well, I certainly wasn't gonna offer to share my diesel powered crotch rocket, I hardly know the guy.

To me it doesn't sound like a joke. Whoever it was had to have been pretty pissed with you do to that.

I burned a couple dudes lately so I'm leaning towards that. Super creepy if it was one of them.

It happened somewhat on the Metro last night when we both reached for the same support bar to get up but instead I got a dirty look like you're not hot, how dare you touch me.

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
Yeah it doesn't sound like friends doing it because they most likely would have told you by now that it was. Also can't rule out the very unlikely chance it was just a person giving out a fake random series of numbers that just happened to be yours.

This, unfortunately, is the most likely answer.

This is funny, because this seems like something I would expect a girl to do.

Seeing this hopefully on Sunday. Back off, boners. Just a bit weirded out by her West Palm Beach cell phone area code. Being sent here to do something to me. Always have a bit of distrust for out-of-area phone area codes, especially central California.

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
hard to say no to that really. Been peeping toming lately an indian neighbor who always fights with her husband in Hindi and whom gives me the vibe when we see each other walking outside. Second story bedroom window and she looks in mine.

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
i'd like to hear this hindu woman's story about the "vibe". i wonder who thinks i'm sending them a vibe.
i have a fourth date tomorrow. i love that he lives downtown and we can walk to dinner and a friend's art show. i'm also happy to go out with another couple. as i get older i want to take my time getting to know people and this makes it easier. i felt a little awkward meeting at his house last time and tried to get out as soon as possible. i'm becomming sandra dee. without the hand holding.

Well, you better shape up.
You better understand.
You'll have to excuse me, I grew up with older sisters.

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
I'm very, very happy in my new relationship. My ex of 4 years and I broke up more than a year ago. I'm over him 110% and have been for some time. I love my current boyfriend deeply, and he's so much more of a "good companion" and "loving human" than my ex ever was.
BUT — thanks to Facebook's "suggested friends" feature, I just had his new girlfriend pop up on my profile. (He's blocked from seeing mine.) Not only is she 6 years older than him, she's also his COWORKER. The same coworker I had suspicions he was cheating on me with back when we broke up. The same girl who, on the night we broke up, refused to shake my hand when I introduced myself to her. (He was not going to introduce me.) According to Facebook, they officially began dating three weeks after he and I broke up.
Sometimes, it's just nice to find out you were right. (Also, I'm much prettier.)
I made the mistake of finding her Instagram and seeing he lavishes her with flowers and gifts. That's something he never did with me; he told me wanting things like flowers was stupid and selfish. What a severe asshole.
Anyway, he always said he wanted to break up because he couldn't commit at 23/24 and didn't want to think about kids or marriage -- not anything I was even suggesting at the time but whatever. If he thinks a 31 year old woman won't start wanting kids in a year or two he is in for a treat.
I am just glad knowing I am so better off.

"good companion." "loving human."

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
I'm failing to see what is wrong with those expressions?

Re: It Rubs The Lotion On Its Skin: A Thread About Dating
What's wrong with them is putting them in quotation marks.

The Indian neighbor potential is a lot more exciting than the actuality, but will let you know if she comes in for tea wearing her patented grey, form fitting PE sweatpants.

^ That post is probably useful for someone who plans to use OKCupid seriously. I am far too lazy to care about it anymore though.

It was an easy and sussinct way to explain my feelings without being totally gushy and verbose. The shortening of such emotions into these phrases, while accurate, seemed cheesier than what I'd normally say. Has nothing to do with my actual feelings.
