Haha nice.. I'm looking at both the Thursday and Friday shows as well as Rrose if I can make it down. Ride shares aren't looking too promising though.. I have class on thursday during the day which is another part of the problem.

I don't think it's even possible to drive/ride to SF from Seattle on Thursday, then, it's a 12+ hour ride, isn't it?
DO IT
:)
Don't know if this has been posted but it is an excellent mix. Some srsly deep techno from Mr. Rashim.

I dont know if it would be mnml but the song jiao on the daphni album is my new jam.
Throwing a legal show often means only having 9pm - 2/3/4am to work with, and of course nobody goes out until 10pm at the earliest. That and this country only gets 90-60 minute sets from most acts. Fact is not many people are used to dancing to the same dj for 4-6 hours; it has nothing to do with promoters. But I would like it if a promoter hires someone like Robag or Dixon and only gives them 75 minutes to play to call it an "Extremely Limited, Shortsighted, We're fucking retarded promoters, set".
I dont think there's been any straight mnml posted in here for awhile. mostly obscure, atmospheric minimal shit, techno, house and ether music.
In general the parties here in the states are on the short side compared to a lot of other places so of course there are going to be shorter sets with less overall running time for an event, but I still find it obnoxious when promoters have the gall to advertise a 3 hour set as some sort of special and rare event when these artists regularly play slots of 3-4 hours at least.
Also, early-bird tickets for CTM in Berlin have been extended till Oct. 22, can't wait to see what names get announced with the first part of line-up release

AYLI parties in SF often say "late" and sometimes really do end at 5 or 6. But it does tend to be because there's a double bill and each artist gets a 3 hour set.
Daniel Bell on Halloween will be a 4 hour set at least though...
^ I am going to that even if it means I will have to get sick the next day.
Me too :D
We could be sick together on Thursday. :D
My tivo could hold a LOT of Maury.
I understand but when Americans are only used to seeing certain "big" artists play festival sets (because promoters cannot afford proper sets) its not like some big crime to market a 3-4 hour set as an extended set. Douchebags like me and you might take exception, but we're in the minority.
DBX! Gonna be funnnn
It's free, too! :D San Francisco is lovely. Also, hi Dave!
The fact that those guys feature the talent they do while offering free entry before 11 is nuts.
