Infected Mushroom (live), Cosmic Gate, Christopher Lawrence, Judge Jules, Simon Patterson, Andy Moor, Showtek, Noisia, Datsik, Dirtyphonics (live), Netsky, Fresh, Jakwob and Kastle
Lineup for 3 more areas to be announced including Chess Village which was the Bassrush area last year. What is the Cheshire Woods area? Was that where Tocadisco and Bunny played last year?
Was there 5 stages last year?
damn noisia, dirtyphonics, netsky, fresh and jakwob? have a good time everyone
Hahah yeah I'm skeptical. It's you guys that make it fun. ;)
the dnb: Noisia, Dirtyphonics, Netsky, and Fresh (does Fresh still produce/play dnb?). These are solid.
Then there is Datsik, Jakwob, and Kastle which are variations of dubstep. I think we're gonna get slammed with another area of bass music considering how popular it is and since there were 2 areas of it last year. I think once we figure out whether or not Bassrush is involved again we will have a better idea. Now if they come out with an all dubstep area I will cry. I need more dnb. (but I will be satisfied with some solid house or techno). Oh, time to really geek out and look over that Ultra lineup for possible adds...
I don't give a flying fuck about the other area announced but I looked up Showtek for shits and giggles. WOW. Their photo on last.fm is terrific.
or this one...
haha. I will not be at that stage at any point in the night, complete shit.
bwahahaha. that photo with the horns is new to me. Thanks, Jeremy.
Hopefully we get some good breaks and/or techno
Aren't those Mortal Kombat characters?
showtek is a joke right...? I have an older friend (37) who ravesss about how great they are, every time he puts them on I just want to slap him in the face.
I saw them once, not my type of music but they did put on one hell of an energetic show. They didn't have those horns or makeup though it would have made it more entertaining if they did.
I've never been to an Insomniac production before. Only 40,000 people and it's 18 + and glo gloves are now contraband? Hmmm.....
Cara, Insomniac throws some great parties. Obviously EDC has gotten to be more massive than massive, but the others they throw can be really fun as well. is very well suited to host these events. People usually complain about the National Orange Show venue because it has been used so much and it's in fucking San Bernardino, but it is really well suited to host these kind of events. I would doubt that 40,000 people attend. If that many do show up it doesn't feel that way. There will certainly be a lot of people, but it won't be uncomfortably crowded. I bet with 18+ rule it is even better.
And they have a refillable water bottle program? Awesome. I think I'm sold on trying this event out. I'm going to visit my good friend in Chino Hills that weekend, so I'll be nearby. PARTYTIME!
They only had 1 refilling station hopefully they increase the number of those because the line was rediculously long for it. This is the best time if any to go to an Insomniac event. With them going 18+ and banning light toys it should get rid of most of the e-tards. Nocturnal and Audiotistic didn't seem overly packed this year.
I was raised in Chino Hills, lived their the majority of my life...beautiful city.
This thread makes me happy!
The NOS is a perfect venue imo. Insomniac always transforms the area into a perfect setting for this kind of festival.
Simon Patterson again, very happy. Please god let there be a techno stage. I need Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Umek.
Richie Hawtin would never play at something like this.
Unless he did. And then I would weep with joy.
ahhh that 2005 show was FUN. High Contrast and Roni Size were fucking highlights for me that year. ooooh I can't wait for the rest of this lineup!
So High Contrast played Nocturnal in 2005? Where was Donald?
I eat my words and now am going to punch someone if Claude and Richie are NOT on the lineup.
Holy shit. Richie, Claude, and Dubfire in 2008. What was I DOING at that point?
