Look at meeeeeeee!
Look at meeeeeeee!
You're right. I should probably just casually hint that I'm looking for something and then hope that somebody thinks I'm interesting enough to follow up. I'm hoping to find a new thing, but I'm not telling what. I don't care how many times you ask! I'm still an enigma if the only thing I'm hiding is an allergy to shellfish, right? Right?
This was my favorite in forever a couple months ago:
Thanks Bradleigh. I like Paul F. Tompkins, but I haven't seen either of these. Will watch when my current album ends.
I know this isn't the podcast thread, but between Pod F Tompkast, Scott Aukerman's Comedy Bang Bang, and Superego, I haven't really been seeking out standup or sketch comedy. So much brilliance being delivered to me for free.
My initial intent for this thread was that it would encapsulate both. Podcasters are usually sitting down.
I like him cuz he's the only good thing to come out of Ireland.
Hannah also is fully aware that Eugene Mirman is the regular co-host of Neil deGrasse Tyson's "Star Talk" podcast, correct?
Yessir. I saw Eugene recently, actually, and he showed a few clips from an upcoming TV series he's working on. It looked promising.
I stand corrected.
Good news for TV, bad new for podcasts.
The CCP comedy groupe did a twenty minute, standup skit show entitled 'Shaved' if anyone is arsed for a gander. Will look to upload and post the recording. I've never watched it, but I'm sure it's really good. Well, it felt good at the time of performance and I wrote it.
short documentary on mitch hedberg, for those interested
Rabies, scabies, Mickey Rooney sugar babies.
Lou Barlow's Disease! Comedy Bang Bang/Death Ray is so amazing.
EDIT: Swollen Perineum and Pere Ubu!
OH HEY. Does anybody know if there's a boot anywhere of David Cross' FYF set? it was fucking hysterical.
On Paul F. Tompkins and Chick-Fil-A..... we're great at capitalism and lousy at politics in the USA. If they made terrible food, this argument wouldn't be necessary. Find us a better chicken sandwich, cole slaw, waffle fries and shake, and we'll practice politics between the two. As it is, a good product will continue to sell because capitalism > politics.
For the record my mom was gay, and just terrible at marriage with everybody. Some people should be banned from marrying - people that suck at it.
Last week Comedy Bang Bang did their first ever live webcast, something which they will be doing again tonight at 6 PST. Here is last week's episode with Tim Heidecker, Paul Rust, and special guest Bill Cosby-Bukowski:
The episode of Inside Comedy with Robert Schimmel, who passed away a few years ago, is some fantasic stuff. You folks should watch.
Patton Oswalt - A Closed Letter To Myself About Thievery, Heckling, and Rape Jokes
Good read for anybody who has been following the comedic debates.
Seeing as how this seems to be a place to talk about stand up comedy. I have been a fan since i was 16. I went to my first show. But im wondering what you're guys's opinions on Todd glass are? I personally can't stand him and think his whole schtick is beyond annoying if you really want me to go into why I will. Just wondering if im the only one?
My grandfather always said, "Don't watch your money, watch your health." So one day while I was watching my health, someone stole my money. It was my grandfather.
