Make sure you get your reservation in the mail. They won't let you in without it. Mine came the day the lineup was announced. That was a good day!
BUMP! this thread needs to be seen by everybody
Lake Cahuilla is THE PLACE TO BE!!!!!!!!
I have a RV site reserved at Lake Cahuilla, we have 8 or 9 people coming with us, however you are only allowed 6 per site. Our Rv will fit everyone, but I don't want to be stuck not being able to get some of us in. Does anyone have a site reserved and not having up to 6 on it? if you are willing to share your reservation, please contact me at email@example.com.
this is my first time to coachella..theres about 6 people in my group. we originally wanted to just do onsite camping to make things simple..but my friends dont wanna deal with the silly rules that go along with camping onsite. is lake cahuilla really the place to be? even for a first timer? what do you guys think? im lookin to book something today or tomorrow for my group.
Have you ever camped onsite? It's far superior to Cahuilla as far as I'm concerned. Haven't camped there in a few years, but when we did we were coughing for a week because of the dust AND we had to deal with traffic everyday as opposed to just when we arrived and left.
Onsite=nice grass, showers, walking distance to festival. no-brainer
I tried booking lake cahuilla and it said it was closed. whats the deal with that?
its probably sold out already, you snooze you lose.
Anyone know if overflow is sold out yet?
The lady said there were 2 developed sites left when I called this morning so I grabbed one. I did Overflow(primitive) last year as a first timer because my brother wasn't 18 yet and it was awesome! We got there around 1am friday night, picked a spot and pitched a tent. It was fine all we did was sleep and shower there which wasn't too bad! The sun will hit about 8am and the heat will be unbearable but I think that'ss be anywhere where you're in a tent. All in all it was a cool place to stay!
Anyone have any extra room at their site?
two words why off-site (Lake Cahuilla) is better than on-site camping:
:thu :thu :thu
so a friend of mine told me he called today(or yesterday) to reserve an overflow spot and said it was sold out. is it EVER sold out this early?
glad i got my spot last week.
called Monday morning (1/29) and actually got a developed site, was very surprised. lets see... paying about $1000 for a hotel and being isolated or going to Cahuilla for a constant party, and meeting good people???? camped here in 03' and 04' and can't wait to get back. this is part of the experience for me, i just hope its not so fucking hot this time.
anybody bringing drums or guitars or anything? I'll probably bring my djembe along, you'll hear it right after you see a cloud of smoke rise from my site :)
I'll bring the static.
Dose any one remember/know what the policy on extra vehicles at Cahuilla is; how much it costs and if there is a limit. I know I read it somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
lake cahuilla is a fun place to stay while out there...
it might not seem like it when you're there though
...well, I guess that depends
AHHHH!! i cant waite. i was like 45$ to camp onsite at coachella per person, fvct that, 6 people, 4nights 55$ at the Lake. so stoked. is primitive the spot 2B?
I have Sat & Sun reserved at Lake Cahuilla; Site #CAH-048 (developed with electricity), and I don't need it now. It is on the outside of the develped sites so it looks toward the lake and primative spots.
Let me know if you want it because someone offered me $75 (it cost $43). You can have up to 6 people and 2 vehicles. With electricity you can run an air conditioner or fridge. That's plush camping...sk8mike
the place is full. Are there any other sites that are near it that would be cool to be at? I am a first timer so I have no clue.
I'm looking to purchase an RV site with full hook up april 26-30th.... I have a reservation in overflow but would prefer a spot for a 35ft RV.
Please email me here or firstname.lastname@example.org
So is Lake Cahuilla just like a big open area or is it wooded in? I know this is probably a stupid question but camping where Im from is wooded.
