Sigur Rós !!!!!
Any reviews of the Cajmere gig?
The Cajmere show was a lot of fun. Liked the venue, it wasn't over crowded, and could barely tear myself away at 6am...
Lauryn Hill at the Independent 11/18
Yes. And you may call her Ms. Lauryn Hill.
Damn Independent would be awesome. But I think I may stick to the Fox and see Nas too.
4/17/13 - Sigur Ros @ Bill Graham
Guess that means they'll be at Coachella again, eh. Cool!

My friends are putting this together and they have a new album out that you can stream here. If you're into def jux and anticon, it's definitely worth a listen
Mighty has MC Armani listed for the Bukem show and NOT Conrad. Disappointing.
I just noticed that The Coup will be the openers for that Erykah NYE show at the Fox. I know they're considered a local band, but I've somehow managed to not see The Coup live yet. This show just got interesting to me.
Here's a list of other December shows (more in the Hip Hop vein from an event blog I follow) I know some have been posted and discussed, but many have not.

Randomly going to be in the city this weekend. I know online tickets to James Murphy are sold out but I'm told they have some at the door. Anyone have any experience buying them this way? Do people line up really early to wait it out for tickets?
I have no idea what the crowd would be like for James Murphy, since I think it'll be out of the ordinary for that venue, but typically... no. People don't really start going out until after 11 or even after 12. You shouldn't have to line up early, just get there near the start of the event.
Any time I've gone to Public Works before 11, I've been standing around with my drink taking awkward glances at the 3 other people who showed up too early.
Just go upstairs and take a nap in the treehouse.
James Murphy was slammed at 11:00 last time round IIRC. I distinctly recall a very long line of people applauding his arrival while waiting to gain entry.
I wouldn't risk getting there at 12 if you're really keen on seeing him but you'd probably be ok.
Like Ross is saying, you are better to get there early because you don't want to miss him.
Tame Impala tonight. So psyched.
Right, but there's not going to be a line at 9:30 when the event opens (for James Murphy).
I'm going without a ticket. I plan to show up between 10 and 10.30. arriving that early sucks a little, but showing up and lining up and not getting in would suck more.
Thanks for the info, will probably show up around 10 and hope for the best.
