I'm a stencil artist...when I feel like it. I think I have adult ADD or something...I generally do something until I prove to myself that I can do it, and then I lose interest...
this last one is Dubya's face with the McDonald makeup on it...just in case ya couldn't tell...
If ya like my stuff, check out www.stencilrevolution.com and check out some of the other artists...
Oh yeah...and these were all done with hand-cut stencils...usually cut out of manilla folders or overhead transparencies...then sprayed with cans of spraypaint. In case ya didn't know.
SubBass49 - i'm a printmaker and i also do a lot of stencil based work. the print i posted of mine was done with a hand-cut stencil as well.
it's a monotype print.
I'm a Chris Burden fan myself...I remember learning about him in art History classin college, and his work always impressed me with it's cleverness and craziness.
chris burden...isnt that the dude who shot himself in the arm and called it art? you want an artist...look up R. Budd Dwyer...
I SEE YOU THERE STARING AT THE COMPUTER SCREEN AND NOT POSTING YOUR ART.
WHAT GIVES? POST SOMETHING. RIGHT NOW.
and incidentally, that shirt is great on you.
only because you asked so nicely. harvey pekar. i will try to upload some color stuff tomorrow.
sub bass...is that skull with the gas mask an original? very very nice. yeah ever hear of bob flanagan???
I'm not wearing a shirt.
Far as Bob Flanagan goes, I'm not familiar with his work. I'll google him and check it out.
Holy crap...Bob Flanagan sounds completely insane! I dunno if I could have gotten into his stuff...makes me cringe just reading about it!
Haha...nah...I left it in the bookstore at the La Jolla location in the safe. A little bag of the nickels. If you ever get to know anyone that works there now, ask them if the baggie is still in the safe. In fact, you could probably ask for change for a dollar and request the nickels be the ones in the safe with the matches glued to them. See if they'd go for it! LoL...
I saw that exhibit. It was really neat, but I can't stand those guards in black when there is no one else in the room. Then they have no one to look at but me.
I would have been afraid to steal from MCASD...the La Jolla location is haunted like a muh-fuggah.
What I'm wearing! Signed Artist T-Shirt
Keep your eyes on EBAY. I may have 12 of these forsale, signed and ready to go for the show. You could be one of 16 people wearing them there. 12 people and my 3 friends and I. Shirt size choose will be available. It will be a pre-order sale so I can get the 12 people what they want!
