i say you get a bigger frame with a matt.
I really need to get some poster frames/backing.
anyone know of a good place to order them online?
I'm thinking I need like 30 or so in about 3 different sizes total.
This is a guy known as Michael Motorcycle. Those are his posters. i took this at Vegoose last year primarily because that Cure poster for the Curiosa Tour is a gift i got for a friend of mine (well before this encounter...i got the poster for far less than that tagged price of 200). So i figured i'd take this picture too.
yeah, many designers price as the supply goes down. I know his work, I think I might have 1 or 2.
I still need to get it matted/framed. Been lazy. How much do you think it would cost to just get a simple black frame with a black matted border around the poster?
Found this at my folks a while back. Probably pretty rare now; unfortunately it's slightly damaged. :(
Noooooo. Nirvana and The Butthole Surfers? Arghhhhh...
Does this help sort of?Quote:
I was going to get it done professionally. I just wasn't happy with any of the ideas they threw out there, so I postponed. still curious what calmer ended up doing...
americanframe.com is great price-wise, they even include a free mat...
What's the best website to buy posters from?
What areyou looking for though....
and the AF L.A. one is damaged and 10 bucks!! crazy.. tempted..
I just bought this off pushposters
I'm looking for the Pearl Jam poster from the Forum and the Daft Punk poster from the LA Sports Arena. I went to both of those shows but they were all sold out.
This is a Radiohead 2001 Bowl show poster in my grubby possession:
I just checked push posters and found the Daft Punk poster at a reasonable price, thanks supre. The Pearl Jam one is on ebay but I'm hoping to find one a little cheaper.
And I saw you were on that website as well, should I just contact the designer or what? I was just hoping to get one specific for that show, you know?
I know the Farm Barn guys personally. Dru is good people, I know they sold out of them the soon after the show, but I can ask him about it this week if you like.
As far as the second one, I'm not sure that ever got produced (officially) as it was never for sale and not done for either the band or promoter, unless I didn't see it. That person does a lot of posters (mostly bad imo) around here though.
i pretty sure this is a rare one:
Is contacting the artists the way to go on that website in general, though? I love the Sigur Ros poster up for the show I saw back in June...
It never hurts contacting the designer... we're all ego-maniacs
that nirvana one would look cool with a matt in light blue to bring out the blue in the text. just my opinion.
