Actually, have you seen one of the Seattle games? That crowd gets hopped up on coffee and anti-depressants and its one goddamn ruckus. It is one of the loudest venues--if not the loudest--in the NFL.

we built our team a stadium (eventually). LA didn't. the time to steal the Cardinals was a few years ago. now they're set with a gazillion year lease on a pretty nice facility that sells out every game.
Yeah, AZ can keep the Cardinals...we'll move the Chargers up north if need be lol (or the Vikings since we have a knack at taking teams from Minneapolis)
That stadium is awesome...though it sucks being called the University of Phoenix thingee...
How is the dining, Tom?
say "lol" one more fucking time.....
you mean type, dick.
Actually, depends on where you're talking about, Menik. In L.A., the basketball tickets are more expensive in terms of dealing with the Lakers (not so much the Clippers) that an NFL ticket. It was considerably cheaper to see the Raiders/Rams than it was to catch Magic and the Showtime Lakers. It would probably be the same nowadays even with say, the Chargers as L.A.'s team. Though it would be close. I dont know how the Raiders were unable to sell out games, but then I realize they played in the colossal Coliseum. That place is horrible to watch anything besides EDC.
This just in:
Jeremy Shockey has been traded to the New Orleans Saints for 2 2009 draft picks...
Not a surprising trade, but NY has just got a little bit more likeable w/o the annoying Shockey on it and by the same token...the Saints a bit more obnoxious with Shockey onboard.
raiders #1 even though they've sucked kong sized balls for awhile.GO RAIDERS
I'm totally unsurprised that you're a raiders fan.
Wrecker of small and large intestines alike, I curse thee chili dog with thy shake of a fist!
chili dogs don't have fists.
In regards to the sellout issue: there were zero NFL television blackouts for the 2006 season. Which means that all NFL games were officially considered sold out for that season. You do have to keep in mind that large companies, indian casinos, etc. often buy the remaining tix so the games are not blacked out.
I don't think I buy that. Raider home games are hardly ever broadcast up here.
Yeah, Im talking out of my ass on this one. (shocking)

Needless to say, this is going to be a pretty interesting year for my boys. I'm hoping to catch the Dec.14th game in Tempe, their only west coast game this year.
go raiders!!
as any fan of a shitty team knows, this is the best time of year. the time when you are still filled with hope that the upcoming season might hold great things. and with that attitude in mind, i think this will be the raiders best year since we went to the super bowl. im not saying we will kick ass, but im saying we will actually be competitive, and not the laughing stock of the nfl that we have been in recent years. and maybe, just maybe, we'll have a chance at making the playoffs.
Hey Bakersfield, did you hear Carson Palmer's radio interview in regards to Ohio St.? That was pure awesomeness!
