yeah if you're 3 years old.
Well, no. Those words actually rhyme to most Americans.
I call it Sassy.
I meant the "otch" part. And yeah, I like "Sassy."
I haven't been yet--would like to go someday.
jesus. nevermind.
I started a blog last week that is exclusively for Sasquatch! Check it out!

no. I dont care if they rhyme. I agree with you, they rhyme. I was simply referring to a common speech impediment prevalent among children ages 3-6 where they pronounce r's like w's. So they say "cwotch" instead of "crotch" and "cwotch" sounds exactly like the "quatch" in "sas-quatch". I cant believe I just had to type that out.
I realize not showering *is* one option, but not one I would prefer. I like showers, especially after dancing all day. I dunno, I'd prefer to be onsite (camping), but those of you who've been before are not making it sound very appealing.
/\ Man up and go for christs sake. Not showering is not an option either; get up early and get into the showers before the line forms or enjoy the banter with everyone else in line. I had a laugh talking with some of the other guys in line last year. People bring beers while waiting in line, it's not that bad.
You didn't have to type that out. I understand the w/r thing. There this British reporter on NPR (Lydia Limm?) who speaks like that. It's hilarious. I just thought you had an issue with my not rhyming or something, considering in my original statement I was rhyming.
Hail aside, is it generally cold at Sasquatch?
if you dont want to camp you can get a hotel in either ellensburg, or moses lake they have plenty of hotels and about the same distance away from the gorge either direction (aprox 40 miles away).
gettys cove ( i think its in vantage) is also a place where ppl camp, more of a party spot if your into that kinda thing.
i have never heard anything good about the onsite camping and never camped there.....better to camp at a real campground so you can take your car out and go to the store if you need too. not that theres a store near by but you know.
i camped in ellensburg in 06, didnt get my tent ruined by hail either!
/\ That's ridiculous. Camping 40 miles away. Whatever dude. I enjoy the onsite camping, waking up and looking out and over at the stage in the distance.
-edit- There is a store onsite selling food, sodas, some camping needs etc. They even have friggin' starbucks !
yeah but for how much? 7$ for a latte by ppl who dont know how to make espresso drinks?
well to each his own. and im picky. i would much rather be able to leave if i want, and if you do want to leave there is not much choice but to drive the 40 miles. might do the camping if you could leave.....maybe.
if your low on cash, camp i guess.
but whatever, i was just stating the options for the guy since no on really did it before.
oh and gettys cove is in vantage and thats right down the road. there are also other camping options that are not the 40 miles away.
Well, I don't drink lattes so I couldn't advise you as their authenticity .....
I bring everything I need and I don't even think of leaving. Food, beer, water, everything. Driving 40 miles after a full day at the fest would end me .... probably quite literally.
well its a quick 40 miles since the speed limit is what? 70 or somthing? or faster if you want. but yeah camping there in of course very convenient.
and trust me, espresso drinks @ festivals are not very good. except at bumbershoot. had a good one there....go figure.
I can't believe we dont' have more lineup leaks.
Any idea who the headliner will be? The Cure and Pearl Jam maybe?
Nah, it is going to be the Cure and Rem....
The Cure and, of course, Jack Johnson.
run for your lives gang, he's everywhere.
There are lots of leaks:
http://sasquatchmusicfestival.blogspot.com/
Confirmed:
The Cure
The Cave Singers
Basically Confirmed:
R.E.M.
Modest Mouse
The National
David Bazan
Fleet Foxes (however, notice that they were removed from pollstar)
65 Days of Static
Heavenly States
Gang of Four*
Rumored:
Death Cab for Cutie
Destroyer
Devon Williams
The Breeders
Highly Doubtful:
Radiohead
Word. The cure and rem would be alright I suppose. I don't know. REM really underwelms me. The national and the Breeders would be great. I guess i'll have to see, i'm pretty sure I want to go but if it's too meh. I'll have to skip it.
I mean, Destroyer should be enough to seal the deal anyways... right? :D
I've seen the Cure a bunch of times since 1987 and they seem to come around about every other year. I caught REM on the Green tour, which was the last time I was interested in them. Nothing else on that list looks compelling enough to drive over for as Radiohead seems pretty unlikely.
