MMMMMMM thats it!
2 Months ago I had a show to attend at Webster Hall in NYC and I rememberd Baohaus was 3 blocks away... I must say, it was actually better at Coachella, believe it or not.. Maybe I was just really high.
I was trying to find Baohaus last year but was unable to. Where is it usually located?
Baohaus was in the line of tents behind the giant the shirt stand in the corner supppeerrrr good it was where all the nicer food stands were I spent way too much time and.money there ha
If they stick Kogi's in the fucking VIP area again..... >:(
Bling Bling Dumpling on the main food court!
Every month or so I stock up with dumplings with them, they're delicious, I was surprised to see them as a vendor.
i miss the ice cream sandwich guy. this year they had like 3-4 vendors selling ice cream and i never really saw anyone buy it because it was like $5+ for a sample sized cup. i don't care if it's non gmo and from free-range high altitude cows raised in the french alps, your shit is way overpriced, even for a festival. at least with the ice cream sandwich guy you got your moneys worth.
oh and date shakes. i miss those too.
Anyone know if that tempeh vendor is back this year? They used to be in the open court to the right of the Outdoor.
PLEASE TACO BOUT THE FOOD!
I'm starving at the moment, so the mention of food is heavenly.
And I'm hoping to get some yummy eats while we're there this week :)
One sandwich can feed two hungry people.
I really like the Paella place at the main food court inside the festival and the blackbean coffee ice cream is heavenly. I was also glad they had salt & straw!!
But my question is.... Where the fuck was the shaved ice stand!?!?!
kogi was in VIP section. I had some bomb ass avocado toast in the vip section at the Eveleigh tent. super fresh and didn't scimp on the avocado. There was also some bomb pressed juice in the vip section.. but it was $10.. and i tried to bring it out of the vip section unopened and the fucking security wouldnt let me. had to hide it in my backpack and walk out a different exit. Also there was a full on sushi bar with like 20 stools in the rose garden. I didnt try it but I'm curious if anyone else did? there was a line of people waiting to be seated.
I only had A Tony's Darts brawtwurst in the craft beer garden and it was damn good. The photos below are comparable to what I ate.
Oh and the Donut Friend "Jets to Basil" I had in the Heineken house was so rich. I tasted the Fudgegazi too and it was a chocolate overload. Attachment 12106
Had the Chicken and Waffles this year.
Super crispy and....Jalapeno honey sauce!
Other than that, I stuck with the usuals.
Kogi could have been in multiple locations. I found one by the beer garden. I wasn't too impressed by it.
The Grilled Cheese Truck was very good. Grilled cheese with mac n cheese and shredded pork
Pretty sure I got food poisoning/norovirus from the tahini at the schawerma stand. And it wasn't even that good. AVOIDAVOIDAVOID.
On the other hand, the arepas are gluten free, cheap, and insanely delicious. So are the smoothies. They're also very conveniently placed.
In the craft beer area, I ate the best sweet potato fries of my life.
Bling Bling dumplings, Salt and Straw salted caramel ice cream, french fries and beer in the craft beer barn.
.....and at least 6 Fruttare bars. Oh, and a slice of spicy pie on Sunday before Trombone Shorty. Some very nice spring rolls one hot afternoon-
It seems that we ate more often than usual, and enjoyed everything.
STRIPPED BACK in the terrace (across from the do-lab)
absolutely incredible Pork Belly... crispy juicy fatty covered in amazing gormet everything. by far the best thing I ate all weekend. I had it 2/3 days.
Mexicali in the terrace (across from the do-lab) - had an awesome steak quesadilla that was very tasty
Dumpling place in terrace
Pink's chili dogs
Poutine your mouth in the campgrounds: amazing as fuck. The Hangover (over-easy egg, fries, cheese curds, maple syrup) was awesome. had it almost every morning. They also have a DJ and fat soundsystem attached to their cart.
Fish taco place in campgrounds
Mini donut place in camp grounds
SAD green drink doesn't do free shots any more
