Different set list tonight for Nick at the Ace. We got People Ain't No Good. Damn is that ever a good song! But No Red Right Hand. I preferred last night's set list overall but gotta hands down the sound win over to the Ace. Even Warpaint sounded better tonight, tho I still don't get em (like em fine as musicians, but none of them can sing).
Oh, and Nick Cave scratched my glasses with the sequins on his shirt last night. Really thought it was just sweat and would come off. But instead I got 3 hairlines scratches on my right lens. Going to see the optometrist on Friday.
Great couple of nights.
I was thinking he wasn't doing on this tour , but "People ain't no good" which is one of nick caves best songs ever. Fuck, I love that song and when he performed that song last year in San Diego. I remember just tensing up with emotion with it fuck I wish this last time I saw him was the same.
Because FYF is more their scene than Hard.
I haven't seen this posted
Man... seeing New Order in the best of circumstances is never a good idea... but on the same weekend as Nick Cave? It's just going to make how horrible a front man Bernard Sumner is that much more painful.
Agreed, but I still had a good time. Your Silent Face was a highlight for me. La Roux was surprisingly enjoyable.

Fox theater pomona
^ That sounds like a ton of fun
Predicting the Ace Slowdive show sells out instantly and they add a second night... Hopefully I can snag a pit ticket.
I can't begin to explain how fucking psyched I am that Slowdive is going to play Ace. Talk about a perfect venue. Christ.
The ace has a pit?
you can hope for a front row seat maybe?
Huh, I swear I remember there being one at the Spiritualized show. My bad. But yeah, so far the Ace has been killing it in bookings.
There was a pit for Nick Cave on Saturday. But are there any photos of how its set up and whatnot from other shows? Or if youre sitting in the first few rows, you can just move up there? I havent seen an onsale which had pit tickets available, or even a selection.
Zola Jesus at El Rey October 9
goddamn i love the fall.
Wow, the Ace manages to surpass the Oakland Fox Theatre in sheer aesthetic value, but not by much. Regardless, it's good to know such beautiful theaters are still in use.
Look up pictures of The Los Angeles Theater.
