I remember one year they changed their minds right when we were waiting for the gates to open. I know water isnt that much but it would be nice if i knew before hand.

not according to FAQs

not ok.

They need to make their money somehow, coz the tickets were so cheap...

04-28-2007, 06:47 AM
HAH! cheap.
yes. they're the cheap ones.

acl lets you bring in two sealed water bottles (even gallon jugs!), camelpacks, chairs, whatever your heart desires that's not a danger to anyone else.

and tickets are significantly cheaper, with longer set times and less conflicts, cause five similar artists aren't playing at the same time.

I saw people taking empty water bottles out of recycle containers by the dozens. Just do that & get free water.

they let me and everybody else around me in friday morning with unopened water bottles + the search was VERY cursory... "open your bags so i can take a peek in"
i wish i had more to sneak in than the few breakfast bars and frozen waters...

I know! I thought they'd ask me to throw out the water bottle & snacks I brought. Damn, I should have def. sneaked in some booze.

special k bars and water here too. they were cool. not too bad of a search. all though my friend did tell me they gave her a more thorough pat down. she felt slightly violated.

I brought in 6 1-liter bottles of water, cost me 3 dollar as 7-11. :) as well as a box of granola bars.

04-30-2007, 10:47 PM
shit, i brought in opened bottles of water. they didnt seem to care.

I watched this fat cunt security guard lady look at this guy and his sealed gallon of water and say. "does that look like a liter to you? No, it's not, you aren't bringing it in" and she confiscated his water.

What a fucking cunt. It's over 100 fucking degrees and you are fucking lecturing and being a cunt to someone because they tried to bring in a gallon of fucking water. Meanwhile her fucking colleagues are allowing people to bring in open water bottles as they walk through.

Nice fucking consistancy.

It might not suprise anyone but those waters were completely melted and cold the whole day. I had about 7 bottles left when the rowdy crowd started to push and shove until my bookbag ripped up to shreds and the water was loss. I brought in snacks and bottled water so the FAQ was bogus.

friday they let me bring in an open bottle of water, didn't look in my backpack, and didn't pat me down.
saturday they looked in my bag and sort of patted me down.
sunday they thoroughly inspected my bag, but let me bring in open water and just made me turn in a circle instead of patting me down.
i went in around 11:30 of 12 all three days.

05-01-2007, 12:53 PM

quick pat, cursory peek in the bag, no biggie (as if they were going to find my contraband anyways, lol)

wannabe marine drill sargent out in front of the entrance is yelling to get our tickets out, empty pockets and throw out all drinks but water, one pat and quick peek into bag and i was in like flynn.

like saturday, only less so, and no wannabe marine

On Friday, the guy in front of me emptied his pockets, had an open pack of cigs, the security gaurd opened the pack and looked inside, then smelled the box. He looked at the guy with one of those "come on man" looks. The guy shrugged his shoulders and smiled. The gaurd said "just be more careful tomorrow" security was pretty low this year compared to the other two I have been too.
