download their set from 2006. it's not the same if you didn't see it, but what ever is, it was flawless. the energy was right, the vibe was perfect. it was just an amazing experience.

i hope you have a blast at your first coachella!

if you REALLY want to know download this torrent file. (im up seeding it right now and if you want will keep seeding it till you have the file)

Its a DVD that was compiled (by a member of these boards) that includes footage of the entire show minus like 4 minutes or so. Doesn't capture the whole feeling of the show but its still amazing. This was by far the best show ive ever seen.

if you dont feel like downloading the whole thing heres a few of the pics i took during the show.

Those are some really great pics - good job. I agree, the setting was perfect, the crowd was really cool and into the scene, and their set and mixing was off the charts. ALSO, since I'm an older guy and been to more shows than I can remember, I really have to say it was probably the most amazing light show I have ever seen. (If not, easily in top 3)

You just had to be there to understand!

If you have to ask, you'll never know.

The vibe was absolutely AMAZING. I couldn't even see the pyramid from my vantage point, only video screens which showed the robots. There was a robot coming through the crowd too. Muisc was mixed so perfectly. I'm so glad that psychic friend hyped up how good their set would be since she'd seen them before. Wonderful experience.

the vibe was definately what made it awesome. everyone i know was elated out of their mind when they found out daft punk was playing and the excitement just built from there. plus, there were all these rumours that it was going to be their last US apperance or whatever. also, i had friends fly in from new york just to see them too, so that was cool. it was a great set too. they teased with da funk like 12 minutes before it finally dropped.

a friend of mine camped, and she was texting me all friday night about "close encounters" and i just assumed she was really drunk and out of her tree or something. but then to hear that theme played at the beginning of their set, it all came together... it was, amazing. words cannot describe.

It was fucking awesome Bottom line.

my friend and i were let into the first section for daft punk and it was the most amazing night of my life. they were my number one band to see that weekend, but nothing could've prepared me for their awesomeness. i saw them in belgium and dublin over the summer (front row centre for both), but coachella was still by far the best because it took place in a dance tent.

i showed another friend the dvd, but if you weren't there, it's impossible to really grasp how incredibly mindblowing their performance was.

it was by far the craziest thing i had ever seen. i think my favorite set of theirs was at summersonic though.

I constantley try to explain to my friends who were not there how amazing that set was. Never works.

amazing. mindblowing. i was in a daze for like a week. i still rock the bootleg in my car all the time.

All I can say is for those of you who don't like "Dance" music you are certainly missing out on some of the best shows Coachella has to offer if you don't venture over to that tent. Do youself a favor and try and catch at least one of the Sahara headliners. I could just imagine some metal fan walking past Daft Punk last year going, "What the fuck is that and why do I like it so much?" No words can explain Daft Punks show last year

The main point I generally tell my friends is how they mixed all their songs into each other and only stopped 2 times for about a minute each stop.

They started the momentum and just cranked it to infiniti. Constant bombardment of Daft Punk songs... and that's only like a fourth of the whole thing.

I went in not knowing too many Daft Punk songs and just knew they were good. But I walked out really discombobulated because I had just seen the best show of my life, which was Radiohead in '04 before them.

there ya go, but yah, i got a really good FLAC file of their entire set and it hits the spot everytime.

i wanted to see them so bad, i found out they played at coachella until after. oh man... that looks fucking awesome

Yeah, my friends watched depeche mode and then went back to the camp, when my other friend and I got back to the camp after watching Daft Punk we asked the two friends if they had seen Daft Punk, they said no, so we explained what we had just witnessed and all they could say was...I cant believe you missed Depeche Mode!

Little did they know.

The power of the set came from: the music, the collection of people who were completely into it, the light show, the costumes, and no sound failures. It was a show that had the complete package. I guess the reason why everyone raves about it is because those kind of shows are rare.
