Nice to see some of my guiltiest pleasures are far from uncommon. Even nicer to see OutKast at #2 and my man Jay Kay and his collection of funky hats just barely miss the top 10. OutKast I think we'll see coming if it happens, but if Jamiroquai ends up on the poster...ever...I will flip my shit. Funky Mojave for the win.

I believe it's a "been there, done that" type situation for Korn:
jPq9ji9duCY

I was there on the VIP side. Had to get up so early that day just to see my favorite band but they made it worth it. Only wet my appetite to see them with a full headlining performance on the main stage like they deserve. Look at that crowd in the video. Korn has been around for almost 20 years, longer then most of those kids have probably been alive, and they still were rocking out hard. And that's just from a surprise appearance imagine if they were on the top of the poster from the start.

It's been what? 14 years since the drummer killed himself? I think that's long enough that we can say you're not spitting on his grave by getting together with a new drummer.

Grrrrr!!! I just want to tell Miki and Emma that they are appreciated and loved and to f... ATP and just come out to the desert. I would follow that up with a long, wet sloppy kiss.

Coming back next year isn't even on my agenda, but if they are on the poster, that would certainly change things.

Right. I'd like to see Tom Petty someday, but it would not go over so well at Coachella. Even 5 years ago, he wouldn't have fit. He just doesn't have the same status as someone like Waters or McCartney.

Some of these acts should have more votes, and when I say that, I don't mean they deserve more votes, just that the numbers seem off.

It is. And even when it was Billy with the original bunch, it wasn't a great show. Like nosurprises said, it's sad how people would rather see Billy and the latest crop of musical day laborers than REM, Neil Young, Sufjan Stevens, Nick Cave, etc. Speaking of shameful matters, who voted for Justin Timberlake, UB40, Fine Young Cannibals, Adele, Britney? Is there just a 0% chance of GV ever booking someone like Slayer? Say...to play a similar slot that Refused got this year? Maybe even a Kasabian-type of spot?

I'm not even that into Slayer but I think seeing a band like them at Coachella would be pretty fucking sweet. I know they don't do much metal, if any, but I think they'd be a relatively decent draw.

The problem with a band like Slayer is that they're just too big get the right time slot at a fest like Coachella and no right to headline or sub-headline. the audience isn't there to support them. Plus, there's plenty of big mainstream metal festivals that Slayer will fit into.
