What?!?!!?!

Recyclosaurus Rex is currently training in the high desert in anticipation for Coachella 2012. This 20 ft high, half robot/half dinosaur, will be roaming the Coachella festival grounds looking for hand outs. His diet is empty bottles/cans…and shady individuals. A well fed T-Rex is a happy one, so remember to stop with an offering of bottles/cans. We are anticipating one fat T-Rex after the two sold out festivals. To help with his waistline, we are integrating a digestive system that will allow him to take giant square T-Rex droppings. The person who comes up with the best idea on how to use the dino-droppings onsite will receive a special Coachella prize pack. Each dropping will be similar in size to a bale of hay. Send your ideas now: trex@globalinheritance.org

edit - this probably belongs in misc babble

Have you considered making artwork with the bales of recyclables? Just as there are installations all over the campground, designating a zone for the droppings to create a small city would be very interesting. People can see the change in the city over the weekend as more bales are added, and maybe with all the shiny material a light show can be crafted?

So...there is really going to be a 20 foot robot T-Rex walking around the Polo Fields? If this ends up being even half as impressive as it sounds, this is going to beyond absurd. Puts the Land Sharks to shame. Although by roaming, maybe they mean being wheeled around to various locations at different times of the day.

The more I think about this, the less I believe that it will be significantly mobile. They are probably just going to put it in different places at different parts of the day. But still pretty rad.

It will be mobile, animatronic, roar, creep up on people and scare the shit out of them. It may go out of control with some tragic consquences.

I grew up all my life in the High Dessert. At 18 I was lucky enough to escape.

This is a really cool idea, I am hoping they also bring back the land sharks... But barring that, perhaps T-Rex will light up at night...
