Saw them close out FYF Fest. They were excellent. Loud! Bring earplugs.

They are the perfect band for sunset on the outdoor...Coachella can't screw this up.

For some odd reason I have barely started listening to Explosions. They are definitely an act that I am very excited to see this year. Outdoor at sunset/night just right.

Something like this but with a killer sunset and plenty of faces melting.

Had my first listen thanks to this thread. Looking forward to checking them out. They almost remind me of Mogwai, kinda.

This band is alright. Saw them a few times. May skip.

Seriously though, they are my favorite band most days. Love Explosions. Changed my life when I first heard them. This will hopefully be my 11th time seeing them... wasn't joking about the may skip, there are a few names I haven't seen that would draw me away if they conflicted. But I'll probably be there.

I agree.

This was some months ago on Letterman. Would love to see it played as the sunsets.

I'm kinda over them on record but I saw them again in December and they still rule live.

Definitely torn a bit here. I really want to like them live and their positioning suggests something sunset-ish. That said, I like atmospheric stuff (old Floyd fan) but it doesn't seem to translate well to Coachella in my experience. Need some help/reinforcement from those that know them well.

I'm really hoping for EITS > M83 or vice-versa at night at the Outdoor.

Their last performance in the middle of the day was an odd time slot. Although, it ended up being a great set and people throwing stuff in the air ("explosions" in the sky) was a nice touch.

Sooo good at FYF. Sunset please.

01-28-2012, 01:42 AM
What are the chances they conflict with arctic monkeys/black keys? Would be torn if they did.

01-28-2012, 04:03 AM
Even fans of Arctic Monkeys have told me they suck live.
