unfortunate that she (they) didn't get on the Coachella tip... posisbly the only thing Sasquatch has over Coachella (oh and MIA)... oh well. Khaela is great if you haven't seen her before.

the blow, MIA, clinic, the thermals, the hold steady, electrelane, two gallants, and viva voce. quite a few smaller bands that I was positive would be at Coachella this year. oh well, might just have to take a trip to Seattle for Saturday. it's cool, I don't mind being creepy and following bjork around the country. :)

allright... so the show I went to in portland which was advertised on their webpage (myspace) as well as all of the fliers as the last band (out of a total of 5, so I figured it would be a festi of sorts and the blow would headline, "as advertised"). We get our ticket and then go in around 8:45 (the show started at 8) and there is nowhere to sit. we leave and come back at "intermission" and find a seat. An old couple sitting next to us says "who did you come for?" we say "the blow"... "OH... she was GREAT! played two songs, and now she's signing in the lobby". We were pretty pissed about the whole thing. the whole fact that they would advertise this whole shindig as a concert, when they group on the end of the list played to "open'. turns out it was some radio event. bullshit.

I really wanted to see The Blow live. But The Thermals aren't very good live. After I saw them, I had a throbbing headache
