03-12-2007, 02:47 PM
Yee haw - Thanks PF (as usual)

03-12-2007, 03:09 PM

03-12-2007, 05:04 PM

is everyone else missing icp on their media players????

03-12-2007, 05:06 PM
Rad. I like that I can skip to the next song.

Even radder are the text message updates (this was in the coachella news page). They really helped me out last year.

03-12-2007, 05:49 PM
where's the lyrics and bouncing ball for all the songs?

All That I Am
03-12-2007, 09:57 PM
yeah it rocks!!!
but i still don't see any ****** songs on there.

03-13-2007, 08:40 AM
Oops. Just made my own thread about this cause I was blind and didn't see the sticky. Mine (and other peoples) seems to be skipping a lot whenever I do anything else on the internet at the same time.

03-13-2007, 09:03 AM
I think I love you, PF. XOXO

03-13-2007, 10:14 AM
Wow. I may never walk away from this new player.

03-13-2007, 11:05 AM
Thanks for the player. This helps prep me for game time as well as consume large chunks of my office's bandwidth (they love when I do that).

03-13-2007, 01:52 PM
THE WORLD IS MINE! I am doing my broken hip dance around the office right now with my speakers full blast!!!

just a reminder to some of the more simple folk, a few bands have the word "the" in their title so they will be under "T" in the alphabetical order thing. :)

03-13-2007, 03:10 PM
right. like THE Arcade Fire.

03-13-2007, 04:21 PM
like THE Rage Against the Machine or THE Willie Nelson

It sure would be nice to navigate easier. It takes a long time to go down the alpabetical listing.

03-13-2007, 04:25 PM
ok I will put the 180 songs random order for ya :)

03-13-2007, 05:14 PM
well, how about a slide thing on the side like all the window applications? or maybe a simple search tool

03-13-2007, 05:23 PM
im out of budget to build more :(

03-13-2007, 06:11 PM
You should ask for donations.. And I am getting skips like when I use my mouse wheel to scroll down on a page. And skips in general, not drastic ones but you can notice.

sorry about that....the skipping some of you are experiencing...........
"Multitasking while listening to the player, as it uses more computer processor, can cause pauses. Unfortunately this cannot be fixed, as the makers of Flash acknowledge the issue here, and we have implemented the buffer solution on the player: hi (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?event=view&id=KC.fca3bb04&extid=fca3bb04&dialogID=61294310&iterationID=1&sessionID=96309e353265c6068484&stateID=1+0+61290909&mode=simple)

The new player buffers the songs, and the Coachella servers are fast, so bandwith is not the issue, and leaves only the user's computer performance issues. "

We are trying to provide the best experience for users.

Cool, I'll have less stuff running and open when I listen to it then. Thanks

03-13-2007, 07:38 PM
I'm running debian sarge (linux) with mozilla-firefox and libflashplayer 9.0 r31 installed. I click on the "Media Player" link and the popup says
"requires the Flash 8 plugin. You can get it here (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BIOW)". Do I need to downgrade flashplayer? Shouldn't it work with flash 9 also? What kind of checking mechanism are you using to detect the flash version? Maybe it's getting confused since I'm running linux? Thanks.

i will check on that. thanks!

03-13-2007, 08:22 PM
Nevermind, I'm haven't had enough coffee or something. I made a simple version test and realized that I have an old version (7) installed in parallel. Once I removed that, it works fine. Thanks for taking a look though and good work on the player :P

i will check on that. thanks!

03-14-2007, 08:15 AM
Every time a new song starts the volume goes to max again. Not a huge deal since I can just adjust the pc volume though.

03-14-2007, 03:03 PM
where's the lyrics and bouncing ball for all the songs?

that was funny...

i love it, i was using the "coachella 2007" tagged station on lastfm, but they had too much trouble connecting, this player is working fine, i'm already finishing the "C" bands!

03-14-2007, 03:36 PM
I think the problem I was having with so much skipping/pausing is greatly reduced when I use IE instead of Firefox. Just letting the others that are still having that problem know.

Not sure if anyone has reported this. I start the player from the first song but when I get down to David Guerra's second song, the music stops. I do not get an error message and I can see that the player is still playing. I have tried to jump ahead and turn my mute button on and off. The only was to start it again is to close the player and re-open it.

the music player has been fixed by the way. you can actually listen to music and do other stuff. finally.

04-07-2007, 01:31 PM
glad to see updated Bjork pic on the player and a new song by Blonde Redhead plus a pic for them. Maybe other updates I've not gotten to yet.

I have had no problems operating it, but do have two suggestions for the future:

add a bookmark function so one can easily take up where one left off listening. It takes a long tiime to get down the list using the forward button--though nice to be able to do that at least!

Also, a more fancy function would be if folks could choose say a 5-song playlist of their favorite songs to share with others. They could get creative mixing it up.

Thanks for this great way to plan in advance! It's introduced me to so much new music!

04-07-2007, 11:04 PM
can we please get some El-P?

04-10-2007, 02:23 PM
So, how do you get these onto your ipod? i don't think that issue has been resolved.

psychic friend
04-10-2007, 03:06 PM
