from the most recent e-mail:

For $5 you can shower like a rock star. Located in 3 separate areas of camping next to the regular free showers: comfort shower trailer with air conditioning, vanity tent with power (bring your hair dryers ladies), dressing area & shorter lines.

This is kind of terrible / I'm probably going to do it

Does this one come with a happy ending?

If it was JUST showers, I wouldn't. However, I hadn't thought about how I was going to deal with my hair until they mentioned the hair dryers. I have crazy frizz hair normally, so I use a flat iron to either strighten or curl it to keep it under control. I assuem if they allow blow dryers, a flat iron would be okay. In that case, I will definitely pay for the VIP showers.

Is there any information on when and where we pay for VIP showers? I'm not showing up until 4pm at least on Thursday and I worry that it will be a first come, first serve thing, in which case I would worry they would run out (if there is a limit).

Does anyone know if/when you pay the $10? Is this something you pay in advance? Or pay at the door? Pay before entering the showers?

You pay "at the door"... And by door, I mean showers.

Also, i've heard people say they get to the showers at 6am and beat everyone else to them. if they open at 8am, how is that possible? Or are they simply waiting in line??

Per usage? Or $10 get's you a pass for all 3 days?

bringing the portable shower thingie again. Sure, you need to scrunch down a bit and the water is luke warm at best, but no lines/no fees. And it's an awful conversation piece ("what's that?").

$10 per shower. So the price of water has doubled in 2 years. I think I'll manage with the free ones or a gallon of water dumped over my head behind the car.

Free ones are fine. The showers in camping were open all day I think... In lot 8, in the corner near the entrance.

The wait for the VIP shower was actually longer both times I tried to hand over my $10. Much longer.

Last year, In Lot 10 (which was open 24hrs) the lady running the showers had to keep convincing the VIP line to use the regular showers. That line wasn't moving.
